"I recently had a concerning experience at the Citibank in my neighborhood, where another customer disregarded ATM privacy by standing too close during transactions. This situation highlights the need for improved security measures to ensure both clients and employees feel safe. Adding armed security could greatly enhance the bank's commitment to customer service and safety. I value the hardworking staff and hope Citibank considers this investment to protect everyone's privacy and security." I asked the man to please back up and give me more privacy. He refused. I asked for the bank representative to assist, but felt like it was not his place to do so. With all the violent encounters violators have with security at business establishments, it should not be the responsibility of staff to risk possibly jeopardizing their safety by trying to de-escalate and stop hostile disputes similar to what transpired today when I visited this branch.

I don't normally write reviews but they did their job very poorly. I wanted to close ONE of my accounts and it stated that night that it was closed. About 5 days later, it's back open and overdrawn by $400??? They keep telling me it was because of pending transactions. I do not have any overdraft plans on my account and the balance was $0 when closing it. Not sure what they're trying to do here but BEWARE. It seems like scheme. Also as bankers, they are supposed to inform customers that they cannot close an account until the pending transactions are cleared. They did not do this

I initially wrote a review complaining about a wrong rate applied which really bothered me. Citibank reached out to me and fixed the issue. Thank goodness! Now I like them again

Citibank has charged me hidden fees for years. Latest example - extracting a $25 monthly fee from my children’s custodial accounts when they turned 18 even though they were linked to my Priority account which had the required minimum balance. This amounted to hundreds of dollars, and was never explained. STAY AWAY from Citibank.

DO. NOT. BANK. HERE. They are not releasing a wire for the purchase of a home because the money is sitting with their "compliance department" and now my home offer is in jeopardy with me legally responsible. No one at the branch can give me any information and they just keep referencing this black box of a department as if they are not all a part of the same bank. Literally useless - take your money elsewhere.

Totally incompetent, sleepy banking center. Don't waste your time here - go to another location. The Relationship Manager (Agnes) opened the wrong type of account for me after I'd been sitting there for hours waiting. She didn't ask her superiors for guidance, resulting in me spending literally months trying to get it fixed with the Assistant Vice President (David) who also still made me come in-person for them to fix THEIR mistake, after I'd been there twice already. Poor communication, a lot of my time spent trying to chase them down, and on phone with customer service trying to get clear answers.

Good customer service prior to the pandemic. I joined them so that I could bank and send money home from China. Since pandemic I haven't worked so now I'm having to pay fees. But still a good bank.
