I love the vet and technicians here! They are wonderful with Lily and helped me figure out the best way to give her medication. When Lily’s littermate recently passed away, they were incredibly helpful, kind, and patient throughout the entire process. Thank you so much!

CityPaws Uptown is actually my pups favorite place to go. She used to be so afraid of going to the vet but now, she runs up to the door and starts pawing at it for me to open it for her! The front desk staff is always so welcoming us and gives my baby a treat every time. I've never met doctors and assistants so involved in my pups lives. They are so compassionate and thoughtful with fur-babies, my pup gets excited just to pick up her monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention!

The vet and vet tech were nice and my dogs vaccines went well. However we waited too long and when I emailed after my visit with a question about my dogs rash, no one answered. Also, this is one of the most expensive vets I have been to.

Incredible team of veterinarians, technicians, and staff. Dr. O’ Berry is so attentive and kind. I’ve been taking my cat here for 7 years. Highly recommend!

Can I just say, this is a great team. I moved here last year from California and I was looking for a new vet and I heard great things and was not disappointed! I have 3 cats and I lugged all three of them there for my appointment. It was just a few minutes past my scheduled time that they brought me back, which I understand completely things happen. The Dr. was really attentive and listened to me and the techs were amazing and the front desk was super nice. Very much enjoyed my time here at City Paws Uptown. ?

I am adding to this review after I saw a wonderful vet at Small Doors. They prescribed gabapentim just like city paws but city paws never told me nor put a sticker on the bottle that it needed to be refrigerated. Small doors was shocked and so was I. Please do not go to City Paws. They have really gone down hill and don’t care and that can be deadly!! I changed my review. I’m now giving you guys one star. Since June 15, I have been trying to get the vet and your office to change his prescription to a solution formula to inject in his ear. I have called you guys. I have emailed you all. I have talked to your staff and no one is doing anything. CVS pharmacist even called the refill in and no one responded. it’s not acceptable. It is June 27. Not acceptable to take two weeks to fix something. my Jackaroe has had this medicine before it’s in his chart in your computer and the fact that it was written incorrectly and it’s taking this long and I still have not heard anything from you guys. So I don’t recommend this place. Guess I gotta find a new vet. Thanks for making my furkid suffer!! Oh and I spent $650 with them and this is what we get! Sad!!!!

Super helpful, understanding and kind staff. Easiest scheduling ever on the online tools! Dr. O Berry was an angel… he was so willing and generous for my first time vaccine and exams with my kittens. I appreciated the lack of judgement with all topics that came up. I will be a happy patron here.

Petsitter here: I took a cat here when a pre-existing condition was exasperated. The appointment was for four. I did not get in till 445. No, they were not having an emergency, they were just overbooked. The vet was unaware of the cat's medical history, it's not hard to look at a medical file before seeing a cat. Glad my cat sees a different vet.

First I want to say, the staff here are great, very friendly and attentive. I don't know what all those reviews about them being bad are about.
So we just moved to DC not long ago and decided to give CityPaws a try since they are so close. I was very happy with the friendly service provided. But I will never be coming here again because of their despicable business practice of charging for everything (as other reviewers have mentioned). There is no such thing at follow-ups here. They call them "rechecks". Which I guess is their was of skirting the whole "follow-up" thing. I've had to go in four times in the past month and have spent well over a grand. The first visit was the standard yearly with a shot, blood work, stool, and urine, which cost nearly $700. Then a week a later she had to go in because she got a scratch on her eyelid at the dog run. Which cost over another $200 for a quick look and some precautionary pills, then a couple of days later she developed a really bad eye infection in both eyes (I'm pretty sure she got from the last exam because these doctors and techs don't wear gloves, and it started in the eye that didn't have a problem.) which they charged another $200 for, then finally the "recheck" visit that they charged another $85. This is so unreasonable and awful of them to pry on pet owner like this. I have been a pet person, living in a major city, my entire life. I know it can be expensive, but I have never had to pay for follow-ups. They, of course, don't tell you about any of this. Even going as far as itemizing in prior receipts that the "recheck" (if there is going to be one) is $0.00. To me this just seems straight up predatory. There wont be anymore "rechecks" or visits to this place for us. I'm sure there are plenty of other great vets out there that can use my money.

There was a bit of a scheduling issue but the desk made sure that my cat could be seen! Great service and very kind and knowledgeable staff.
Would also be helpful if we could wait in our cars because with all the pets in the waiting room together, my cat tends to get skittish around dogs

My cat and I had an excellent visit here today! We went for his annual and some routine vaccinations. The front office staff checked him in quickly, and he likes watching the dogs in the waiting room (from the safety of his crate of course). Once we were in a room, the entire exam and vaccines took around 10 minutes. I paid less than 200 for the exam, rabies vaccine, and a combo distemper vaccine- I consider that pretty good! The staff is also wonderful with cats, which can be hard to find. The vet tech let him get out of the carrier on his own and wander around the exam room. The vet was very gentle with him, and spent time getting to know him and offering treats before the exam. She handled him so gently and kept it short. I think the whole thing was over before he realized he should be scared! I'm very glad to have them as my regular vet, especially with the great location.

The doctors and the staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely keep bringing my fur baby to this establishment!
