It’s in DC so be prepared you won’t find parking outside restaurant but nearby is paid parking available. The restaurant is Persian themed with Persian cuisine. They provide complimentary bread and chips with some nuts, greens and cheese. The service and staff were very nice and friendly. They helped us in selecting our dishes. I found the prices more as compared for the food provided. Quantity was not much. Food was kind of less salty for the one who loves spices. Only thing i liked was the pomegranate sauce over chicken.

Authentic Persian food from the hands of chefs "ostad" Yahya! Kashkeh bademjoon, Lamb shank and baghali polo, joojeh kabob, and chenjeh kabob with a side of Zeytoon parvardeh (a complex concoction of bright olives, herbs, and pomegranate juice) were all amazingly delicious. Make sure you try their cocktail drink, Azadi: It is a Vodka lavender with a touch of sweetness and many elements of beauty. All four of us that dined there truly enjoyed our food. Chef/Owner Yahya stopped by with a warm welcome and introduced himself to us and gave us a little about the history of this relatively new restaurant in DC.

Such a good menu and meal. The owner visited our table three times to check in on us and drop off items. Delish and authentic, homemade tasting food. The kashk bademjan is divine. So flavorful and rich with excellent ingredients and delicate spicing. The salmon, while less heavy on spices than I’d like, was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Fries with za’atar ok, not amazing. The pita chips and bread were fresh and so tasty. They even brought us a lovely dessert on the house because they asked us to move down a table to make room for a bigger party. Such kind and attentive staff. Lovely warm atmosphere. Although I think the lighting is far too cool and could use some warming up (and not with holiday string lights ?). That is a minor ding tho - I will ? go back! Great, quality spot in CoHi.

Delicious food! Friendly staff. We talked to the owner for a bit. Glad they’re a new addition to the neighborhood. (Warmer and dimmer lighting would be transformative, though!)

The place is amazing. The staff might not be the most experienced staff but they sure are very friendly. The food is authentic. The Ghormeh Sabzi stew tastes like the ones you’d have back home. The owner is also a very nice guy who is present and oversees the quality of food, talks to the customers for feedback and cares about your opinion. Definitely recommend it. If you miss the food back home or wanna be introduced to the delicious Persian Cuisine or already love it, this is the place to go.

We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.

Such a great spot! So much flavor in all the dishes - from the fresh pickles to the dips to the stews. Highly recommend coming with a group so you can try a little of everything. Kind owner and staff made us feel welcome from start to finish too.
