Terrible all around. Mobile banking is horrible. Getting help over the phone for anything is IMPOSSIBLE. Takes all day just to get a representative on the line. Transferring money is a hassle. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to this joke of a bank.

We have had a wonderful experience with Stanley Koussis at CFCU while applying for a home loan. He was so accessible, gave wonderful insight into the process, and went above and beyond to be helpful while looking in a tumultuous market. We would definitely work with him again!

I’ve been a member since 1980. Getting money transferred into my account has been almost impossible. My daughters were never able to get their credit cards to work. I have not been able to use the new mobile app since it was created a year ago. And when you call, you are put on hold for interminable lengths of time until someone answers. I’ve waited more that 25 minutes today alone and am still waiting while I write this….it used to work better.

This credit union makes it hard to set-up autopay, especially in times of COVID. They'll charge late fees for loans even when the money is sitting in the account. I recommend you find another credit union or bank.

Truly Kafkaesque member services. If you ever manage to get a human being on the phone, you will be put on hold permanently or transferred to an outdated, never-checked voicemail. So disappointing. As I write this, I am currently on hold.

Out of all the banks I have ever worked with congressional is by far the most unprofessional. I put in two disputes on January 2nd, 2020 about fraudulent charges on my accounts. One of them being blatantly fraudulent, I have documentation from the actual gym stating that it is not their charge, which I have presented to the bank. The other from a company who sent me the wrong Christmas gift, and haven’t responded ever since. I have reached out to congressional on multiple occ

Member since 1997. Congressional Fed Cred Union assessed a $30 fee on a $15 transaction because I took money out of my savings 6 times in one month. I was NEVER given a warning or reminder about the 6 transaction rule. A short warning email would have been gratefully appreciated. I was paying for Christmas presents via PayPal that was linked to my savings account. I will be closing my accounts and doing my business with another financial institution that has the kindness and technology to let customers know when they may get assessed a penalty in the near future. I realize this may sound trivial but as a loyal customer I feel CFCU let me down and didn't have me in their best interest.

I have been a member since 1989. Over the last few years there service has gone down hill. I am constantly having issues with online banking. ONce again I got locked out. I asked for a call back after 2pm today. Instead I got a call this morning when I couldn't answer the phone. I have now called back twice and got disconnected both times. THis is just one example of why I wouldn't recommend. If it wasn't so hard to change banks these days I would probably change where I do my financial business.

I have been a Congressional member for 30 years. They started out great but in the last 5 years have really really really deteriorated. While the people on the phone are nice, the organization's underlying technology platform is AWFUL. The website won't load and this has been a problem for years. It takes forever to complete transaction on-line. I have talked with many staff members who all agree that it's terrible but management doesn't care or doesn't understand the fact that the technology platform is the foundation of customer experience. I have had many loans for cars, home equity, personal etc. I have used all the services. I'm telling you, go someplace else. There are lots of credit unions that have more sophisticated technology, greater ease and a devotion to outstanding customer service. Unfortunately Congressional doesn't care about customer experience. They only care about having nice people answer the phones and in 2018 that doesn't do it anymore!

People who really don't care about how they do their job. In my entire existence a human being, in all my life on earth, it is the worst customer service, due to incompetence lack of work ethic, that I have ever seen in the entire United States. Congratulations CFCU. Being the worst might be an achievement of some kind.
