I loved my cute smart experience. The attendant was extremely helpful and patient with me. He answered all of my questions. The units are spacious and clean. I’m glad I chose Cube Yeah Smart for my Storage needs.

I was at the cube smart on 1200 upshur street NW Washington DC and Marcos help me with my situation made everything simple so I can understand didn't give me a hassle and made my day because im going through some stuff in life he understood and made sure I was straight i appreciate him very much needed more customer service people like Marcos plus I see he's by himself and has a lot to do around the facility and he still has service with a smile keep up the great work

1) Supposedly there is a manager there - there has NEVER been anyone in the office during posted office hours that I've seen. Was able, with some difficulty, to rent a unit by phone.
2) 5x10' unit is not truly 5x10' due to a structural beam
3) There is trash on the floor in the building that is left there.

I was assisted by staff with completing registration process and receiving storage space. It is great relief in having storage space for rent in the District of Columbia, while experiencing housing problems.

Unfortunately I did not have a positive experience. I was very disappointed with the customer service.
I reserved a storage unit at a competitive rate. When I needed to push back my date, a CubeSmart employee told me to call back on June 20 to extend the reservation. I left multiple messages and sent an email. No one responded. The reservation expired along with the competitive rate. I called back the next day. A cubesmart employee told me that I need to come to the store in person on a weekday during work hours so that an employee could amend the lease with the district manager’s approval. I followed the instruction. After waiting over an hour for someone to show up, the employee told me that it was unnecessary to come in person, he suggested I fabricated the instructions and he said that he would call the district manager and then call me with an update. He never called and the district manager never called.
Despite following every direction given to me, CubeSmart did not honor the competitive rate that I signed up for.
I am not suggesting that CubeSmart must always honor rates when reservations expire. I am suggesting that CubeSmart have a consistent policy that is communicated clearly. Instead they wasted my time and cost me more money in the end.

This place is a great deal. Cheap, convenient, and plentiful storage in the middle of DC. Service is also great—Marco cares about his customers!!

As a first-time self storage customer, I was a bit nervous about the whole process, but the staff member who assisted me on Sunday, May 31st at CubeSmart made my experience absolutely wonderful.
He was incredibly patient and kind, taking the time to really understand what I needed and walking me through all my options without any pressure. His friendly, helpful attitude immediately put me at ease. He explained everything clearly - from unit sizes to security features to how the access system works - and even gave me some great tips for organizing my belongings.
What really stood out was how genuinely nice and professional he was throughout the entire process. You can tell he really cares about helping customers and making sure they have a positive experience. He made what could have been an overwhelming first-time experience feel simple and stress-free.
The facility itself is clean, secure, and well-maintained, but honestly, it was the staff memeber’s exceptional customer service that made all the difference. It's rare to encounter someone who goes above and beyond like that.
