Have had a storage unit here for years and it has been a nightmare from the beginning. They increased my rent 3 times over the course of 6 months without notifying me (said they had the wrong address on file even though my profile has correct address) which ended up tripling my rent.When I came in to discuss this, the front desk guy was confrontational about it, then charged my credit card for the same transaction three times (was smiling and kept saying to charge it again because it wasn't going through). Tried calling several times with no answer and ended up having to dispute with my credit card company.Just so happens 3/4 of their garage doors were inoperable and there several upset people dealing with that issue at the same time.Save yourself a lot of hassle and find a different storage company to go with that is not intentionally fraudulent.

Within minutes of arriving at the facility and parking my motor scooter ? on the Cube Smart property beneath a video camera, someone stole the vehicle. I alerted David, the manager and he immediately stated that cameras are non functional but that if they were, Cube Smart would not share evidence w customers or police unless ordered by Court to do so. Amazingly obnoxious disingenuous and uncooperative.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Save yourself the heartbreak and look elsewhere. Our entire unit was infested with mice. There were mouse droppings EVERYWHERE. on our couches. Mattress. On boxes. In bags. It’s absolutely gut wrenching. It smelled horrible and ruined thousands of dollars of our belongings. And their “protection plan” doesn’t cover rodent damage… they classify that as “wear and tear”. This is going to cost us thousands. I would never ever ever recommend storing belongings here. Attached are just some of the photos we took. There was a rat in the loading dock too, where they kept trash out… no wonder mice infested our unit. They are negligent and clearly don’t keep this place clean. This has been a NIGHTMARE.

Thanks so much to David at R street location for helping me when I didn’t have my key for my lock! He was helping at a different location but came to help me and quickly cut open the lock for me. Was very nice and patient even though he had a busy day between offices! Thanks David!

This facility only does month to month leases so that they can drastically increase the price whenever they want, with only 30 days notice. I was told that a small unit’s standard rate was $300 (wayyyyy more than anyone would pay for 5x8) and so I should be happy my rate was only going up to less than that. This process has felt very bait and switch.Agree with others that Desmond is helpful when you reach him but I’ve often gotten a more surly employee who probably can’t affect this policy, but nonetheless was still not very helpful.Edit in response to business: to be clear, we did call both customer service and the facility to discuss and were unable to resolve this issue.

This place was awful and the worker on the clock refused to help me as it was my first time at the unit. He laughed at me and refused to help me for his own entertainment and ultimately made me cry as moving is already stressful enough. I won’t be recommending this unit to anyone as that was probably one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I went into the office three times asking for his help nicely and he refused, I didn’t understand what I did for him to be unwilling to help me. He said that if he were to help every college student like me, he would be exhausted by the end of the day! What a crazy idea, because everyone is just refreshed after their day at work. The gentleman who was also helping me move my stuff into the unit went into the office and asked for him to help me and he still refused.
