It expensive but not more so than some local steak places that don't come close. I much rather spend my money for overall best steak in DC! Excellent service. Highly recommended. ??

Terrible experience. We had a noisy table next to us configured with dozens of tacky electric tea lights, a neon sign, 2 bright light stands, 2 cameramen, a videographer, and an event planner noisily setting up for 2.5hrs during our Valentine's Day dinner. Asked our waiter what was going on. She was clueless. 3 managers stood in the corner and refused to address the situation with the distracting and noisy set up or check in on guests throughout the meal. Almost as if they were embarassed themselves.

Everything was great. Second time here and loved it. Service and food were great. We were there for my birthday back in December, and now for my husband's birthday. We will be back for sure!

The food, service and vibe were all spectacular. The food was a bit more expensive per ounce of meat, then other similar steakhouses in DC. If your celebrating or just want something consistent and delicious this is the place. I will be back

We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at Cut and had an amazing experience. From the time we walked in the restaurant each staff we encountered greeted us on our way to the table. Our server was Oscar, who was knowledgeable and attentive. We both ordered the rib eye steak which was seasoned to perfection! We both throughly enjoyed our meal together. The macaroni and cheese was delicious, I highly recommend! The ambiance in the restaurant was perfect. We ended the night with a nightcap at the roof top bar. Gio the bartender was friendly and fun. The views from the rooftop were beautiful!

Cut is my "go to" restaurant when I want nothing to go wrong. The food is terrific and service first class - but the vibe and ambiance in the place is unbeatable. It is as if you are in a swank Manhattan club - and it is 4 blocks from my house.

Shockingly low level of service given the price point. I've dined here several times and this was the most disappointing. Had a reservation but was seated for dinner in the lounge area, not the dining room. I definitely felt as though I wasn't dining at the same restaurant and didn't receive the same level of service and attentiveness as those in the adjacent main dining room. A large table adjacent overwhelmed the staff as the lounge was not properly staffed and set up for a full dinner service. There were a number of major service mishaps including my main course going to the wrong table, sitting for several minutes at said table, and picked up and then delivered straight to my table as if it came freshly from the kitchen. This was a major faux pas with no attempt to acknowledge the mistake from anyone. I didn't make a scene, and there was no manager visible anyway, as they were occupied with... the main dining room. Unacceptable.

We have loved CUT! As of late though, the menu has become exorbitantly expensive. Bourbon Steak has always been priced as if it weee NYC. But CUT now takes the cake. $30+ for three pieces of sushi? $82 for an 8oz filet? I get that CUT is supposed to be high-end. But the pricing is a little much. And the ambience has diminished somewhat. The atmosphere used to be a little robust. Great service and the food is good, just not worth the price.

It was okay, nothing special about the place. The food was okay. I've been to a lot of fine dining restaurants and so far this was the lowest rating in terms of food taste and service

My favorite restaurant in DC. Consistently amazing steaks and delicious food. I normally come down to DC from Central PA with my wife a few times a year for a "Steak-cation" at Cut DC. This time, I took 3 of my work partners / friends for a dinner meeting and to just hangout. We made the 2 hour drive (each way) to Georgetown just for dinner last Saturday. The service was impeccable. Pink, whom I always request, was awesome...she knew the menu and explained it to my buds, was super attentive all night and friendly as usual. Luke, the manager, was checking on us as well. He made a fantastic recommendation for a red Bordeaux to go with our steaks. The staff (from the hostess to the serving assistants) were friendly and helpful. The food easily exceeded everyone's expectations... All four guys had the Miyazaki Strip, and all four guys loved it. It is my all time favorite, and it is always consistently, perfectly made. The seafood tower, the new lobster pasta, and all the sides were all amazing. And the desserts...the tarte tatin, the chocolate soufflé and my favorite, the basque cheesecake... yum... We had a wonderful time hanging out as friends and as work partners. A great time at a great restaurant. Cut DC has some new fans.

Everything was 5 stars - the service, the food, the drinks. We had the Boston lettuce salad, endive ceasar, Maryland crab rice, tuna sushi with crunchy rice, Australian rib eye, Bok Choy, mushrooms, and 3 desserts. We will be back!!
