Walking into this CVS is like being reminded of every person that disappointed you in your life but then turned into an insular pharmacy experience with a side of gaslighting and explosive diarrhea, all wrapped in your past exes' attachment issues. Somehow it's still not the worst CVS in Columbia Heights either.

You will either get the nicest staff members ever or one of the rudest people in the world. I came to pick up a prescription and asked if I could check out my other products as well. Previously, a clerk told me this was okay (I understand now it is not the case, but I did not know that at the time). I asked the woman at the counter and she simply replied "No." I asked again and said that previously I was allowed to do so and she said "Sir, I said no". Normally, I wouldn't care, but she was so condescending and this was my second bad interaction with this particular cashier. I previously had asked her about my insurance and she rolled her eyes and acted like I was an idiot. This place is getting three stars instead of one because the rest of the staff are very kind and accommodating and assisted when I was having issues with my new insurance.

This CVS is inside a huge Target store In Columbia Heights, near the metro So from a transportation point of view very convenient. When you enter the Target it's all the way to the back on the right hand side. We came here for a vaccination - on a late Thursday morning there were altogether 6 people getting various shots, 3 ahead of us. We booked the appointment with CVS online so checkin was quick - in fact you could checkin yourself when you get there, might be better since we checked in with the staff and they somehow missed one of us so there was a slight hiccup in the process although quickly remedied and we were done within 20 minutes. This being a large Target it's quite roomy around the pharmacy but they only have a tiny designated vaccination area half partitioned with some screens, not much privacy. Given the available space they could have set up a better area - as it is it could get a bit confused if there are more people waiting around.

CVS at Target on 14th st NW DC is where I fill on my prescription. Mahedere the Pharmacist, Shea and Lauren treat me exceptionally well. They answer all my questions. They are very knowledgable about the products can easily solve insurance issues. Great customer service and great all around knowledge. They always get me in and out, very well satisfied. I love my local CVS.

This pharmacy is full of very nice people who listen to you and solve your problems, or if they can't they are at least kind about it. Do NOT go to the CVS across the street on Irving - they're terrible and rude. This CVS is the best!

Worst pharmacy ever. Had invasive foot surgery and needed to pick up pain meds at store #17333. Tried to pickup and was told not ready/led to believe insurance had to process it. Called the following day to see if it was ready, waited on the phone for 30-minutes. Pharmacist said he needed the “doctor to provide clinical proof about the surgery to fill the prescription. AND that there are other options rather than this highly additive controlled narcotic.”Asked if I needed to call the insurance company or if the prescription was not valid, he gave me a lecture on the how the system works three times. He also told me that he did not like the tone of my voice when I told him I don’t understand why it could not be filled since it was a valid prescription. Was in a lot of pain; but keep my cool during this call. He told me he would never sell it to me.Here are my issues 1: Pharmacist trying to prohibit necessary medication. He is not the doctor performing invasive surgery/follow-up care. 2: Should have said yesterday that there was an issue when I could have called my surgeon to resolve the issue during business hours. Waiting until Saturday is reckless. 3: Continuing to tell me that he needs clinical proof that I had surgery is not professional.Having surgery sucks, being in pain sucks. Why is this so hard? This is not my first time having issues at this store. Need to move to pharmacy that actually cares about my health. Stay away. The staff service is 0/5 - wish I could give them a zero. They all need customer service training. Also, the lines are soo long. If you are in pain, and cannot stand for a long time, send someone else to pick up your meds. I guess that is IF they will fill it.

I hate the CVS inside of target! I will never use ANY CVS pharmacy again. I am shocked and disgusted that my disabled sister was forced to wait in line for over an HOUR to PICK UP medication. Then to make matters worse, the medication that I requested to be mailed was never mailed. My sister ended up picking up BOTH of our medications. The fact CVS refuses to hire people to work in and forced disabled people to wait over an hour in line is ableist bigotry. The pharmacist should have helped ring up customers when the line is over an hour-long. I am filing a complaint with the DC Human Rights office and a federal ADA complaint. CVS does not care about people.

Just awful. Truly horrendous. I try to be kind and understanding, but this location is just the pits. Good luck getting a prescription. Been over 24 hrs for a scrip I need after a procedure. There are literally 20 people in line and they move so incredibly slowly. Know there are employment issues, but I'm going to switch. One can only be flexible and understanding to a point. I am in PAIN and need my scrips post-procedure. Useless...

This location has truly the most rude and unkind pharmacy staff I've ever encountered, I've never written an online review of anything before but I felt compelled to because this was such an unusually terrible experience.
