I had a prescription sent by my doctor August 22, 2023. By November 1, 2023, they still had not filled it. Had doctors' names wrong on some of my prescriptions. I gave one star because they used to only be slow, rather than worthless. Maybe rating now should zero stars. Go elsewhere for prescriptions,

I've been calling for 2 days to have a prescription transferred out of here. My pharmacist has been calling and ignored. Staff simply won't answer the phone. My rx is a controlled substance and I cannot have it transferred through the app. I do not live in DC so I cannot go in person. The CVS corporate office could not get ahold of them either. My doctor's office could not reach them and could not leave a message because their voicemail box is full. I have no way of getting my prescription transferred because this requires speaking with them and they don't answer the phone.

One of the worst service you can get. The pharmacy doesn't fill orders called in unless you go there first. Many times it's closed during hours they say they are open. The shelves are not fully stocked

This pharmacy is exceedingly poorly run. Is known to close early (don’t trust hours on the website or Google) and open late. Long lines mean you might not get your prescription the day you need it, may need to return the next day to wait in line again.

This CVS has never once managed to send me a confirmation text when my prescription is ready even though I sign up for notifications every single time I refill. I consistently wait 10-20 minutes for my prescription to be filled even when I show up well after the window when it's supposed to be ready.

If this store weren't a block from my house, I'd never set foot in it. I am presently standing in a line of 8 people. I dropped my prescription off 90 minutes ago and was told it would be an hour. An hour later, I came back, stood in a long line only to be told it would be another 10 minutes. Thirty minutes later, I'm standing in line again. All for an easily obtainable antibiotic. This is not the first time either.

So slow. prescription was supposed to be ready days ago. I ran out of medication today. all I received was a text 4 days ago saying they'd text me again in a few days when my prescription was ready. which of course they did not. the pharmacist quickly prepared it for me as everything was waiting right next to her. she poured the pills from a bottle that was far from full, so I know they didn't just now receive more of my very common medication. At first I was like wow this is so nice she prepared it for me so fast. then she told me to get in line at pick-up. there was just one person ahead of me who had 4 prescriptions and it took this guy 12min to find them all. of course the moment she leaves he calls someone else up, who thankfully didn't take long. only when I've been watching him dig through dozens of prescriptions for mine does a second pharmacist come over to help with pick-up.the whole time I saw one bag waiting on a surface close to the pickup counter and had a feeling it was mine. i had seen the other pharmacist walk in that direction after preparing mine. when I called out to tell him she'd just prepared it she looked at me and him and said nothing. i didn't feel comfortable calling out again to suggest which one it was. but that was indeed my medication, which took him at least 5min to find.thus a medication prepared in under 2min took about 20min to actually be handed to me, making me very late for work. I didn't want to stop by on the way to work, but in March they had the bright idea of shortening their hours to close at 7 instead of 8. because of this change I couldn't wait until after work. this is the time of year to extend hours, not shorten them. but I guess cvs has a pharmacist shortage.this is definitely not the first time they've failed to prepare my medication in a timely manner

You're better off going to the safeway pharmacy next door.

One of the smaller CVS stores, but I find that it generally has what I need. The employees are generally friendly and down to earth. The pharmacy has always gone out of their way to help me.

Worst pharmacy ever. There’s always an issue with medications.

It's no surprise that Im realizing all CVS pharmacies in SW DC are not ideal. While this CVS store is cleaner and larger than the CVS at the Wharf, I feel the pharmacy departments have a full staff but long lines and big attitudes. At this point, after switching from two pharmacy locations of CVS, we're going to move forward with transferring our accounts to a different company altogether. To be fair, CVS pharmacies in Orlando, FL were never great either, but not this terrible. I want to avoid at all costs.

DO NOT GO to this cvs for the pharmacy service EVER. I should have read the comments before asking for my prescription to be sent there. No one is picking up the phone indeed. I spent 50min on hold and decided to hang up. I had to drive 25min to go pick up my prescription just for them to tell me it was not ready!!!! A HUGE waste of time. The whole staff is fucking useless and careless!

Very poor service. Employees just talk about getting their hair done in front of waiting clients. I am in a rush to get my medication, and I just have to stand there and wait for them to get don’t with their conversations... highly not recommended if you are in need for anything.

I'd give it 5 stars if I were rating only the people. They're pretty nice (better than the one on NJ & M St SE. They usually look overworked :(. Unfortunately, they're consistently out of stock of my medications. They're always happy to order them, but it takes several days and I don't have the luxury of waiting. Sigh. Also wish the store in general had longer hours.
