I visited the CVS at The Wharf on September 22 and 29 to grab a few items for my hotel stay. While the location is convenient, especially if you’re staying nearby and need quick essentials, there are some things worth noting.
Pros:
• Great location for travelers and locals in need of last-minute items.
• Open late and within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, and the waterfront.
Cons:
• The store is often busy and disorganized. Shelves are not front-faced, and items can feel scattered.
• The checkout process is chaotic. While self-checkout is available, most customers avoid it, and there’s usually only one cashier, which slows everything down.
• Prices are high, but that’s expected in tourist-heavy areas. Still, it would be nice to see more effort in store presentation and customer flow.
If you need something quickly and you’re in the area, this CVS will do the job. Just adjust your expectations you’ll likely wait in line, pay a bit more, and find things slightly out of place. I recommend it only because there aren’t many other options nearby.

Most of the store is locked up and the workers can’t stop joking with each other long enough to get your products. I’ve left twice simply because they didn’t respond to open the glass.

I gave this store 5Stars, much appreciative to a young man DaQuan. He always makes my experience feel amazing,
.He’s every where helping from back to front. Always with a smile, professional and genuine.
I appreciate you so much this is the only CVS I go to close to my homes on the waterfront where ppl not always so nice. This CVS even the security guards are friendly and professional. The store manager is great as well always so helpful. Just a great team all together. We need that today when most stores are so rude. ❤️🌻

Easy peasy with the app to follow up on prescriptions. Easy pick up. Be aware the gate comes down at 1pm -2pm for a much deserved lunch.

The worst CVS experience I have ever had. They wouldn’t fill an antibody prescription, because they claimed it required prior authorization and would follow up with the prescriber. They never did. I had to continuously call the CVS/Provider. The provider told me that there was no prior authorization issues and it was on CVS. CVS didn’t it fill it due to not knowing whether or not I need one pen or two dispite the directions advising two pens for loading does and one for maintenance. They didn’t not even bother to call myself or the provider not once. I had to go over a month for my medication due to their negligence, and has caused my condition to worsen. Then to add insult to injury, they don’t even have the medication in stock. If they would’ve completed proper procedures, it wouldn’t have been an issue. The pharmacist here should be fired. Go to any other pharmacy that is not operated by CVS. The only issue is there are only two chain pharmacy’s in SW area which causes further backlogs and mismanagement of medications ill people need to survive.

May I suggest if cvs isn’t going to become open for business at the posted time then please put it on your website. This is the third time I’ve been there in the mornings and they were closed and probably still closed. I understand things happen but at least post it on your websites. Neither the less, we will give it another chance before we will take our business elsewhere. Thank you and we hope cvs will make the necessary changes.

The staff is fine. I would give them four stars.
However, this location is an absolute nightmare unless you can walk there. Parking is only in an expensive garage or the very rare street spot. Moreover, CVS changed their phone routing so can no longer call the pharmacy directly. Instead you have to leave a voicemail. And they never call you back. So, the only way to receive service is to go in-person which is not easy because there is limited parking. A cycle of frustration.
As soon as I can, I’ll be switching to a non-CVS pharmacy. I recommend you do not use them if you have any other options.
