The pharmacy staff is rude and don't know anything. The woman im guessing who's the pharmacist, wouldn't speak up so I could hear her.She wanted to question my step fathers medical history instead of giving a recommendation like I asked her.Then everything is locked up. There's only person at the register. Avoid this place at all cost. Its a terrible experience.

I have always found the staff to be friendly, they answer the phone and are conversational. Store has always stocked what I need. It is clean and easily found right off of U street.

My daughter purchased a planner a week ago. She did not need it because it wasn't the correct size for her needs. The woman at the register was trying to help but called another older woman to assist. She refused, REFUSED to issue a return or even a store credit because she did not have the original receipt (in her defense, who keeps that mile long thing!). Although they could see the purchase on my card statement as well as me providing them my extracare card and the item number, that was used at purchase. The woman that was working or not willing to come to a compromise with her at all was an older short grey haired woman with glasses for reference. I think in this circumstance, she was purchasing other items and obviously is a repeat customer, she could have been a little more courteous and understanding to the situation.Update: went back today (next day) with the receipt after finding it at home and Cheyenne and Eleanor still would not give the refund stating the barcode is missing off the planner so there’s no way to confirm that if the same item on the receipt. Keep in mind the planner was purchased a week ago and still listed on the website for the same price listed on the receipt. Long story short purchases are final and service is non existent at this location.

My interactions with the pharmacy have all been frustrating. The staff is frequently rude, both on the phone and in person. It may be because I have an accent they have trouble understanding, but they are always extremely impatient and curt with me. Unfortunately, they are the only pharmacy close to my home but every month when I go to pick up my prescriptions I have to brace myself for an unpleasant experience.I once had to wait over an hour at the store because, although they had my prescription ready and they had it in a bag and everything, they were running sort of low on birth control and they did not want to give the ones they had to me (they provided no explanation). They had already been postponing my prescription for weeks (!) until I had my health insurance call them and ask them what on earth was going on. Even after that call, them confirming my prescription, and me going there in person, they wanted me to wait for an additional week (like birth control is not time sensitive!).If you have another option, go there.

I’ve honestly never had such a horrible experience at a pharmacy. Don’t go here. Whoever is in charge needs to talk to their staff about not being incredibly disrespectful, unhelpful and not hanging up on people who need help. Go literally ANYWHERE else.

All you need to survive is here but there are no self-checkout options at this CVS store so in the case of zombie apocalypse you will die because you have to wait way too long.

I can't speak for the rest of the store, as I haven't done much shopping here, but the pharmacy is truly not as bad as the reviews make it out to be. After working with multiple helpful pharmacy staff members, I wonder if the reviews are old and may not reflect the current state of the pharmacy. I had an issue that was entirely my fault, and the pharmacy staff explained clearly, exactly what I needed to do to correct the issue, and worked with me to ensure I got what I needed. This is not a 5 star store, but based on the other reviews, things are certainly improving.

Their hours are wrong somehow nearly 100% of the time. I can't tell you how many times I've been screwed. They keep changing and never updating them.

They say they close at midnight but it’s 10:15 pm right now on a Friday and they are closed. I needed medicine for a child. Came all the way out from NW where I live.

handy location, staff is helpful, but so many regular items (like toothpaste and soap) are locked up it's usually simpler to walk a couple of extra blocks to shop at Walgreens.
