This review refers specifically to the pharmacy. It's the worst pharmacy I have ever visited and the incompetence of the employees is breathtaking. I had a vaccine appointment booked. When I arrived, I was kept waiting for an hour whilst they "found my details". They then told me that my insurance didn't cover the flu shot, even though it does. I went to a different CVS the next day and got my shot without any issues. Beware this place.

I went in to this CVS specifically because the ones in my area in DC are soooooo bad with crime and folks hanging out outside the premises (selling drugs, laundry detergent and who knows what else). I went to use the self-checkout, a man was currently using it, scanned all of his items and then just left. When I went to the kiosk an employee came over and voided/comp’d everything and started to walk away and I asked “is that man coming back?” She said, “probably not, this happens all the time.” And just walked away. Security was in the back and came up right after the incident (not aware of anything) and no one did anything. Made me question why I should even purchase my items and not just walk out myself. This kind of attitude and acceptance of crime is crazy. I won’t be going back and probably not to any CVS in the future. It’s much safer to shop online and get things delivered to my work. This is what DC has become.

On this day, August 14,2023, I called the pharmacy to place an order for my medication from 10:30 am. Until after 5 pm. The same young lady would answer the phone and ask if she could help me. I tell her, and now I'm on hold for over 20 minutes, 30 minutes, and on. These types of people don't care for anyone health shouldn't be working with helping people.

Don't call. No one will pick up. If you need a prescription, you need to physically check at the store.

I came in to request a refill on my purlax prescription which I've been receiving for 2 years. The staff told me to wait and I did for about 20 to 30 minutes. I approached the counter to pickup. I had to wait for another customer to appear before being told I had to wait further. As I left to return later I got the text it was ready for pickup. When I returned, I handed my ID to the pharmacist Dillon, he asked if I take it daily. I didn't respond. Because I didn't respond, he refused to give it to me. This is all on video. He said he wants to get me barred from cvs when I'm the customer and innocent.

This pharmacy makes the DMV feel like a beach vacation. The staff, especially the pharmacist, Barry, and the woman with the short blonde hair, are constantly treating customers like they are bothered by them being there. The female employee with the short blonde hair makes it a hobby to top herself with how rude she can be to each patient in line. I’ve never seen her greet or thank anyone (even if they greet or thank her), or even look up from her phone to acknowledge someone she is currently “helping”. What I have heard from her countless times is telling patients that they can “go to another CVS” if they don’t like her attitude.Anyone asking for help to navigate the insurance/ pharmacy procedures to get a prescription filled is met with dirty looks, shrugs and the absolute minimum effort, if any at all. Barry, the pharmacist, will straight up lie about submitting necessary paperwork to avoid work. If his eyes could roll any harder, this guy would be a professional revolving door. It takes multiple attempts, include phone calls and showing up, to get them to to submit the correct information or even tell you what is holding up the refill on their end. They take “not my problem” to a new level. Literally playing with people’s health.Last time I was there, they tried to get an elderly customer to pay for her prescription out of pocket for the next 4 months so that they could avoid reaching out to her insurance and helping her figure out what was causing the problem. I was able to hear all this because, just like with me, Berry and his staff have no problem yelling personal medical information across the pharmacy to each other and to customers. They also have no problem complaining about customers to coworkers loud enough for everyone to hear.Of course approaching them about any of this will get you invited to “go to another CVS” and will instantly get your refill time tripled out of retaliation. Lovely.

I'm going odd my own personal experience and mine was very good. I did not deal with the pharmacy I had a pick up order for a hair product. I didn't have to wait at all. There were only 2 workers in the entire place that I saw actually but both were helpful and nice. I was in and out very quickly. I have extreme anxiety but this ended up being a low stress situation and surprisingly the upside for my day with Mt husband. This was the only CVS that had my specific hair product as well. I like how big the CVS is and it is old school style with a surprisingly big selection of food.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to come to this CVS at night. Their parking sucks at night. They have an entrance for the parking garage wich they do validate your ticket, but they close the back door and you have to walk around the block to go inside CVS. The streets at night are so sketchy. I highly recommend coming during the day. Also the validation machine stand in the parking garage is not visible at night and I just didn't know till after 10min I found d it and it was by the entrance of the parking garage lol. I also agree to the reviews, usually it's always empty here, and bad customer service.

I made an appointment to get a covid vaccine. I received a confirmation email and a pre-check in request. I wasted an hour of transport just to be let known at the pharmacy that they are unable to vaccinate people. Truly dissapointing.

There is something seriously wrong with this CVS. I know I am Yelping a CVS but if I save one person from going here, that is a win. This has happened not once, but TWICE, where I've gotten something expired. The first time, I bought chocolate milk. I took a swig and almost vomited on the pavement. It was about a month expired. Heinous, Jail. I bought pretzels but something was a little off when I took a bite. 2 MONTHS EXPIRED. I swear, this CVS be trynna kill a b***h

Please hire a better morning staff @10:37am there’s no way I should be parking in the parking garage and still having to walk alllllllll the way around to the front door just to get in. That’s makes zero since if the pharmacy opens @8am as the young lady told me. She was also pretty rude about the entire situation but whatever. Train your morning staff better. Light skin younger girl with glasses and natural ponytail

Giving this store 1 star, is 1 too many. The customer service is horrible and the refrigerators are broken, which means all of the drinks are hot.

The staff at this location lack empathy and respect for patients. I arrived at 1:25 pm to pickup prescriptions. As I wait in line, I speak and was ignored by the cashier/pharmacist as they engaged in small talk.I see the sign which states their lunch break begins at 1:30pm. It is now 1:27 pm and I say it’s rude to not listen or respect patients who come in for vital healthcare services. The pharmacist then acknowledged me and goes to get my prescriptions. When I approach the counter, I reminded the cashier that I’m here before their 1:30 pm break. The cashier decides to go back and forth with me being nasty and rude. I then state that I respect her work; however, I’ve followed all rules in picking up my prescriptions within the proper time frame.Patient care has to remain important. This is not “last call” at the bar to order drinks. I needed medication which was vital for my personal well being. It’s not my role to beg for acknowledgement or to have an expectation to be be treated with respect. This CVS needs more customer friendly healthcare workers and a lesson on empathy.
