They have always been rude and slow but my last time there I was actually disgusted! A woman was biting off her acrylics/gels while helping people. And I mean hands deep in the mouth. Of course I didn't get my prescription because they said it will be a hour after coming In 3 separate times earlier every time my doctor called it in. NEVER GO HERE

Pharmacy has not gotten any better. Customer service is lacking. Rude telephone and face to face interactions. Apparently the Pharmacist continues to allow this behavior according to previous yelp reviews. It appears the Spring Valley/American University community is starting to take their business to other pharmacies outside the community because of the poor interactions and service received here.

Took over a week to get a simple Rx filled. Impossible to contact them by phone. Can't even leave a voicemail. Even doctors and CVS Customer Service can't get them to pick up the phone. This used to be my go-to neighborhood pharmacy, but I now have to go elsewhere. Don't let your doctor send a Rx here unless you are prepared to make multiple in-person trips to the location to get information.

This pharmacy used to be my favorite. It’s gone downhill and fast. What happened to pharmacy management is dreadful. Will need to change if things don’t improve.

Always seem to be out of basic things. Went in for greeting cards and wrapping paper. The display was abysmal. No wrapping paper at all and no one to help. This is my neighborhood store and the experience is consistently disappointing despite the renovation.

This used to be one of my fav CVS. Convenient near my job, and they always had my meds and customer service was A+. Last year or so, it's been downhill. My doctor will send them my prescription sometimes 2 weeks in advance, but whenever I call they 'never' have anything. Have to speak to a pharmacist every single month because they don't look at my script until I call. Today I have been trying to reach them about my Meds, and the phone rang for 20 mins. No one picked up. Called back 30 mins later, someone picked up after 2 mins, then she put me on hold and never came back. Left me on hold for 10 mins. Now it's been 4 hours later, called after 5 mins of the phone ringing, someone answered and hung up. And this has been happening on a monthly occurrence.

Absolutely terrible cvs. They are so understaffed which causes them to not care at all about customers. I had to come twice yesterday because the first time I was told it would be ready in 1 hour. Then I come back and tell me that they won’t have it until 4pm tomorrow. I am now here again and they still don’t have it. My well being and health is impacted by the way they run their business. Find another pharmacy

The old woman putting on hijab(I don't care what it is. She is just disgusting) are very impolite to customers. She volumed up voice from the beginning. She is mad at her work by default. She asked me to sign in to the cvs without informing it charges me 5 dollars every month. Yes I will get 10 dollars coupon but it is another thing. She violated the rule.

I don’t have a wors experience with pharmacy lake in CVS in Massachusetts Ave .Very bed costumer service, I was waiting for my mom medications 4 hours. After 4 hours no baby knows what is going on.

Had a prescription called in 8 days ago and it wasn't ready for pickup because the rude person who answered the phone said they are "short-staffed and have been for months". Seeya!

The one star refers to the pharmacy operation. This has been my CVS for years but in recent months the pharmacy operation has collapsed. There appears to be one person who works hard. The rest spend their time gabbing. The lines are extremely long because there is only one person working.
