I ordered eight slices on pie day(3/14), only got six, but was clearly charged for all eight. I tried calling them but they left the phone off the hook the entire night.

The place is awesome, from the people, food, the bar, and the live music. It's a vibe.

Go for the meat pie, stay for the live entertainment! I saw a band called Ampliphobia there recently. Awesome show! Pie shop features the cream of the local indie music scene crop. The drinks aren't bad either!

Such a fun eatery and venue! Found out about this place while researching local concerts/shows. Pies were great, I wish I had the chance to try more pies on their menu.Headed upstairs for a punk show after eating the slice of pie. For me, this was a new experience and a really good one! I will definitely visit again.

*For the Pie Shop not their venue*Their pies are wonderful but they somehow can't be bothered with being pleasant when you order or are there. Despite there being tables, the atmosphere is unwelcoming and drab.Should you want to enjoy your pie there, you feel quite unwelcome. If there were another pie shop with equally good pies I'd go there instead but I guess until then I'm relegated to going in to order my slices and leaving. It's a shame. The earlier iteration of the Pie Shop, Dangerously Delicious, was a friendly and welcoming place where you could sit at the counter, order a slice of pie and a beer and be served with real silverware.

Not gonna lie, when I recommend this place I usually praise it as more of a music venue than a restaurant. Last time I went my savory slice was cold and the meat was tough. The dessert pies were fantastic however, and I highly recommend their chess pies. In terms of food, there's not a huge selection, and the menu online doesn't always have every pie in shop. However, it's a small cafe-type dining area so I'd understand the limited quantity served per day. Overall I think this is a great place to hang out and see a show!

I'm very saddened to put such a low rating, but I'll explain my personal experience.- 1 star: The pie slices we got (1. chicken dinner, 2. meat+mushroom, 3. caramel+french toast) were definitely overpriced (which I was okay with), but the problem was they weren't fresh at all...Especially the chicken dinner piece was so very dry, and they didn't even reheat it properly. It was kind of warmer in certain parts but overall fridge cold everywhere else, and it mainly gave off "leftovers that got wrapped up in pie dough" vibes... Not appetising at all.- 1 star: We came for a live music show, and the sound system was absolutely horrible, all noise and no clean sound. We had to move all the way to the back to save our ears. Not sure if it was the sound guy's problem or the speakers.Everyone working there was amazing and very friendly. I will definitely come back to give the place a second chance!

I was just there to see The Crane Wives so I can't speak to the pies, but it's a nice intimate venue for a show. Doors opened a little late and the downstairs was full of people from the early show so that was confusing, but everything was fine once we got in. Super friendly door staff, but bar was too crowded to bother with. Will definitely be back.

Great pies both savory and sweet. The Chicken dinner is a pot pie to write home about with a crust that's certifiably thicc on the back end. Something to chew on.

One of the sickest venues I've been to in the city and the food is amazing! Been a fan of the chicken pie for years and it never lets me down. I have a hard time choosing so I usually come home with too much food. If you're on H St NE this place is a must for drinks, great handmade pies, rooftop deck and live music!
