Popped in during the day so it was quiet, but I enjoyed browsing the show and the space is very welcoming. I look forward to returning here for an opening or something.

For a hyper local art experience, head to Adams Morgan. Here you'll find the DC Arts Center with a second-floor art gallery featuring local artists. Open Wednesday-Sunday from 2-7pm, plan on lunch or dinner nearby (Sharbat is a good option for Azerbaijani food) before seeing art. The gallery is in one main room and a small room in the back. There’s also a black box theatre!

Once i survive the climb of that entrance staircase, I'm never disappointed with the art on display in the gallery, nor the performances in the intimate theater (43 seats). Shout-out to A Bright Room Called Day, and Watergate - with Puppets!

The DC Arts Center is an incredible home for comedy shows, and is a top-spot for anyone looking to see improv and sketch comedy in DC.

Came in at 3PM on a Wednesday with a special needs adult whom I work with who really likes artwork. Sign clearly said they were open but lady asks us if we are picking something up. When I say no, she tells me they are closed even though the sign and fact that she is working there clearly indicates they are open. One of the most bizarre and rude experiences I’ve ever been apart of, in terms of overall experience. Not sure why this places receives taxpayer funding as a non-profit if they are preventing people from visiting during normal business hours.

What a surprise to visit an intimate theater (4-5 rows of theater seating) that puts you right there within the performance… We saw Niagara which was an outstanding time… Highly recommended!

Free gallery upstairs from street level. It's a little small and intimate but with a variety of artists and pieces. The entrance I a little tricky. It's in the middle of two businesses and easy to miss.
