Added on class pass and walked all the way in the rain to the gym for it not to be at the address. The advertising on the doors and windows says DC Row, but it’s not for DC row. I called them a few times 10/15 minutes before my class hoping someone could tell me the right entrance, no answer. Won’t be going again— either update the branding on the door or pick up the phone. I’m out $14 because I had to cancel, never found the place.

I love DC Row, it’s staff, it’s location, it’s friendliness, space, style, and feel. Tina is fantastic, and David and Tosin are so sweet.

Brittany was phenomenal as always as an instructor. She motivated me and corrected my form. Love her classes.

DC Row is not following Covid protocols that are required in DC right now. When I walked in for my first class the instructor was not wearing a mask and did not check my vaccination card. Another person walked in without a mask and asked the instructor for one. He said masks were optional, and she didn’t put one on.This is a violation of the current mask requirement and vaccination check in DC restaurants, gyms, etc. When I told him this he acted like he had no idea what this was. I left and did not experience the class.

I can't believe that this place doesn't have more recent reviews! I moved to DC in September and immediately started attending classes at DC Row. This pandemic is never-ending, so the classes are smaller than they might have been before - I am often the only one. But, the machines are pretty well spread out and the instructors do a good job of following mandates for masks/vaccinations, so I wouldn't feel uncomfortable if the classes were fuller.I've been to all 3 of their class-types. The Crew Clinic is amazing for beginners to learn rowing technique; it's slower paced, but still a good workout. The Row Flow class is more endurance-based, and the Scull and Sculpt class (my fav) is more HIIT-based. Honestly, as someone who despises cardio with every. single. fiber. of my being... I was shocked at how much I truly enjoy rowing. All of the instructors have been great, too. Brittany is so fun and has amazing energy. Tina's classes kick my a** in the best way. I've also had classes with a couple of other instructors and they've all been wonderful.Overall - really great place. Great people. Great workout. I bring everyone who visits me to a class here and they all love it. If you've been thinking about it, or just want to try a new type of exercise - do it!

They used to have an instructor Lauren who was great. Their business model is lacking, however, and they cannot keep good instructors. Seems poorly run. I would not buy a ten pack because other locations, including the wharf, have shuttered. Great concept, though. Other boutique row places include Row House. Orange Theory is big on rowing. I bought a Concept 2 rower and don’t need to pay through the nose for classes any longer.

I love these classes. I’ve been twice and had great experiences both times. The instructors are very motivating and take time to teach form. The class goes by quick, it’s fun, and you’ll definitely get a full workout.

Today was my first time trying DC Row and I absolutely loved it. Kate was my instructor and she was fun and made learning proper form fun. I will definitely go back and recommend anyone trying to find an alternative to the gym to check this place out. Thank you!!

If the location of this studio was in Shaw/Logan, I'm convinced it would be jam-packed. Since it's at the Wharf, my friend and I were the only ones in the class, which turned out to be awesome. Our instructor was game to coach us as if it was a private lesson and we got extra attention to form and a chance to ask a lot of questions. I really enjoyed the workout, and as someone who had "casually" done a rower at other gyms, I learned I had done everything completely wrong. The CORRECT way to row gave me a great lower body workout and left my back/shoulders pain free. I would really recommend this for anyone that is looking for a new workout but has been intimidated by other overflowing classes.
