Great spot to find trinkets, fruit and other items. I went back for bbq sauce with a kick but they weren’t there. Heard a gentleman playing jazz o a violin. Please tip him he is incredible. Went into market for a drink and snack, best place for breakfast. On the stree next to side of market in between the fruits get a bottle of water for a buck, ice cold. There is a gent who sells Olivier oil a little on the expensive side but worth it has a great story.

It was great for my granddaughter. I have to try everything to keep her amused. She has so much energy of course at the age of 4. And it's so much better than having her sitting stuck on the tablet or I phone. Plus we enjoy the sun ?? I just wish the water fountains work and people would respect them for the purpose they are intended. Boy life has changed so much since the time I grew up. I really don't like it. No respect for common things that are good for us to have. That's it. Times have truly changed to me for the worst.

Was heading to Eastern Market station Friday, Feb. 4. about 1:30. When the train pulled into Capital South station, the driver suddenly announced there wouldn't be any stops at Eastern Market station "due to covid." Tried to walk to Eastern Market, but the rain was intense and I got thoroughly soaked. I've been riding Metro for four decades and it sucks more every day. What a bunch of incompetent nitwits.

Located directly above the entry to the Eastern Market Metro station, this is a recently refurbished park that makes use of an otherwise irregular, triangular-shaped block, thanks to DC's street grid where diagonal avenues regularly slice things up. The park now features attractive new plantings and an inviting circular plaza that has an ornamental canopy and plenty of modern wooden benches all around it. It's an open, accessible space that seemed to be doing its job when I stopped by: attracting plenty of people to linger, sit, chat, and read. It all feels similar to newly refreshed Franklin Square near the White House. A job well done!

I really liked the surrounding park near Barracks Row, where you can have lunch and enjoy the weather.
