My initial experience with Elate was great. I was given a quote immediately and informed about the process. I booked my move on 05/27, a month before I actually needed to move. On 06/26, I received a text that said the movers will arrive on 06/27 between 9am-9:30. At 4:45pm the day before the move, I had a missed call and a follow up text message that stated
“ Hello Genne,
I tried to call you and failed, the truck that was assigned for you tomorrow, the breaks are having issues and for that reason we have to cancel this booking for tomorrow. I apologize for the inconvenience, let me know if any other dates work better for you.
Thanks,
Elate Moving”
This was such a huge inconvenience. The BRAKES did not work on one truck. I thought moving companies had more than one truck. Especially a company as big as Elate. I called and ask for a refund of my deposit and that was processed quickly. I had to scram around to find another moving company at the very last minute.

Dennis and team helped us with our long distance move from Vancouver, BC to Washington DC. They were the only company we found that offered a guaranteed delivery within 5 days. They were professional and did everything we needed them to. Highly recommend Elate.

Max and his team arrived on time and were very efficient moving our stuff from 4th floor. I got three estimates from other companies and Elate Moving offered a reasonable price. We got lucky with these professional and friendly people.
