I've been going consistently for over a year now. I cannot recommend Essam and his studio enough. I am more than satisfied after every haircut and the layering and style is the some of the best I've ever had.

I've been going to Essam for eleven years now, and I literally fly halfway across the country to get my hair cut by him. Prices are very reasonable for Georgetown. My fellow ladies with long hair, y'all are in good hands with Essam. He's never taken off more than I asked, and I always leave the salon with my hair looking like a Disney princess. He's the best, I can't recommend this place enough.

Essam may be great with many things (the people before and after me seemed quite happy with their hair trims/cuts) but he ruined my red hair color. I know not everyone can work with red hair and wish he'd informed me he was one of them.

Essam was amazing! He was great to talk to and gave me the best haircut I have gotten in a long time! I got curtain bangs and cut off quite a few inches, and he styled it so well! Definitely will be my permanent hair salon in DC now! Thank you :)

I just had my haircut by Erika - she did a fantastic job from start to finish. Additionally the studio is doing an excellent job maintain health and safety during this pandemic. I would absolutely recommend Fringe and Erika and plan on coming back!!

Go to Alexus, she did a beautiful job. I got a cut and baylayage. She is super sweet and very talented. So glad to have found a place in DC, will be back.

I noticed there weren't any reviews of Alexus, so I wanted to be sure to leave her some love here! I just moved to DC and am totally blown away by how expensive haircuts are here. I have a pretty basic wavy lob with no color, so I'm not about to spend $100+ on it. But also: you can screw it up pretty easily. I went to Fringe because their rates are $70+ and was placed with Alexus, who was super chill, experienced, the exactly right amount of talkative, said nice things about my hair, and didn't make me feel stressed out. She did a great job and mentioned that she likes to take her time and be gradual so she can adjust to what I want the whole way through the haircut - so she's really receptive to feedback. My hair looks great, and I'm excited to go back! If you're accustomed to more elaborate places, know that this is no-frills - you get a wash, condition, cut, and blowdry with a glass of water in a sweet little studio; it doesn't have a spa vibe. But I'm into that! Everyone I eavesdropped on was so kind and relaxed, and I felt comfortable the whole time. You also have to climb some stairs, fyi!

5 star recommendation for blondes - Update 12/2018 -- I know old reviews can go stale so I'm popping in to say I still love Essam's work! Newly back in the area and looking for a stylist who gets the "California blonde" concept - highlights that don't look like highlights. Essam took the time to listen to me and look at pics of how I like my hair to look. Absolutely nailed both natural looking cut and color.
