I’ve noticed your “backpack security checks”, by security guards at the entry points to your stores. While I’m sensitive to theft prevention, I’m also curious about the process as in (who’s) bags and backpacks are checked, and (how) the process is managed. For (some) customers the experience, by your security guards, looks to be very “polite and delicate”. However, by my personal experience, the “commands” can be a bit harshly delivered to customers. Would you mind looking into that for us? 🙂

I’ve been here several times. Enjoy the variety and freshness of produce! Many organic products as well. I do wish I could buy wine here though. I’m an out of state visitor so I’m sure there is a reason. Member discounts are great made sure I signed up for that because I visit at least once a year! The staff are always helpful and friendly. The meats always look fresh and I love the local items offered, bread and milk so cool! Fresh milk would buy in a heartbeat if I was staying in a glass bottle on top of it! Open that top and get that little taste of cream on top like when I was a kid! I digress! Anyway great store! If I could get wine there would have been a five!

I've been shopping at this Giant for nearly 20 years, but I’ve decided not to return due to consistently poor customer service. While a few longtime cashiers are friendly and professional, several other staff members have been openly rude and unhelpful, creating a negative atmosphere.
One area that really stands out is the deli. Years ago, you’d often find a line of customers there. Now, it’s completely empty, and frankly, I’m not surprised. The level of service has deteriorated to the point where it feels like customers are being treated as an inconvenience. It’s clear this store is struggling with serious personnel issues.

This store is terrible about making sure UPC prices match shelf prices. In the produce section they often don't. Broccoli shelf tag is $2.29/lb, when you print the UPC sticker suddenly it's $2.49/lb. Yellow onions are more expensive when you weigh them than the shelf price indicates. The staff always tries to get me to believe that at the register it will self-correct but it doesn't - it reads the UPC sticker which is wrong. If you've raised prices, CHANGE the SHELF TAG. I buy my produce from other stores because Giant is so unreliable on this. PLEASE FIX.

Nice, big and clean store, but if you park in the garage, don't loose your parking ticket and get it stamped. Otherwise, there is no way out! No attendant either

Today was genuinely the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. Shawn - the manager - “followed protocol” and had an employee put away a whole cart of groceries that I left off to the side when I realized I’d forgotten a couple things. Nevermind that my bags were IN the cart, or that I left it for less than 5 minutes. Could’ve put it off to the side or even taken it to customer service. Nope. And unapologetic when I finally figured out what had happened. Pathetic.

In response to these 1 star reviews,, Giant keeps.giving the same non-answer concerning their discriminatory backpack practices. They are on a major bus line, so many commuters used to stop in here on the way home. But now they ban all but tiny bags. What is a commuter supposed to do with the backpack when turned away at the door? "Go put it in your car." is a non-answer if you have walked, biked, or ridden the bus to Giant. Is that your answer Giant? If you want to shop here for groceries, then go buy a car? Another non-answer is the response Giant will give to this review which is to tell me they appreciate my concern and invite me to call them... And then they will do exactly nothing about it.
Just go to Wegmans, Safeway, Trader Joe's, Target or the Whole Foods - all also on the same bus route. They don't have this clueless no bag rule nor do they have the lazy corporate staff who offer no answers to concerns. .

Please get rid of the backpack rules. I'm sympathetic to your reasons but this causes more problems than it solves. My business at Giant is at a bare minimum until this is undone.

Wow. Used to like this Giant. But now they make you sit your bags on the dirty floor by the baskets. Even prisons treat visitors better lol. Ghetto

I’ve been coming here for years — most of that time using an electric scooter, since I don’t have a car. I usually carry a backpack with me. They now inconsistently enforce a no bags policy, which makes it very difficult for me to shop here.
When I asked what I should do with my bag, the security guard told me to put it in my car. I was wearing a bike helmet and explained I didn’t have a car. He didn’t have another answer except to leave it at the front, but told me they couldn’t take responsibility for it. I ended up putting my food away and going up the road to Wegman’s. Physically can’t shop here anymore.

I was turned away because I had a backpack. Apparently you can’t use a backpack here anymore, folks. Well as my previous go-to store they can look forward to losing the thousands of dollars in future business they just lost. ?
