I stopped in to get a haircut today. I asked for a medium fade and the hair-dresser said she knew how to do that. But she took the cut far too high. To be honest, for the haircut that I received it wasn't worth the money. There was no fade or blend in the cut she gave me. I felt like she kept messing up and bringing up the fade line until it was just a high and tight. Just not what I asked for. I don't recommend going there for anything else besides just a buzz cut or the high and right look. This was my third and final straw with the on base barber shop. It was disappointing because I was really counting on the people that work there to be dependable. We don't have much on base and it was a huge let down to not get something as simple as the hair cut I wanted.

Heaven forbid! Air Force uniform items on an Air Force base...who would have thought it! Get a clue, folks: if you want Army stuff, go to an Army base...and a Navy base for Navy stuff...you get the idea. As with all AAFES establishments, service here blows, but that's to be expected of the worst run retail operation in the world.

No Marine Corps uniform items, though we have a presence on the Base. Thumbs down! Plus, our uniform are the best. Get with the program, Air Force!

Most clothing stores I've been to for military clothing allow the stocking of other uniforms when they have a contingent of other services on their base. But Bolling, I guess to maintain Air Force snootiness, does not stock Army items. Yes, that makes my review biased, but coming from a Soldier who might need a spare badge or other tab for his uniform in an emergency, this place will leave you high and dry. Harrumph.
