I came here because of the convenient location. I left with an uneven cut, and will have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. The stylist only wet down parts of my hair, so there are chunks that are completely longer than others (days later, I swear it gets worse the more I look at it). I also specifically told her I am growing out my curtain bangs, so I don’t want them cut shorter or thicker. She cut them shorter, thicker, and uneven. I left completely disappointed, with problems unresolved because I felt the stylist was not listening to my concerns. She kept blowing me off by telling me how I could style the cut she gave me completely against my wishes. I absolutely do not recommend.

Absolutely did not like this place. Went on a fine Saturday and the disaster happened with the hair on top of my head the same height as the sides (and explicitly asked not to do this) and then no leveling of hair
Apparently the hair stylist matters a lot and I didn’t get a good on. My room mate does get it from here and he likes it, so maybe ensure that before going

I received a terrible haircut today by one of the hair stylists. I couldn't tell you the name of the stylist because she never introduced herself. When I walked in she was sitting down in one of the chairs on her phone and during my previous visits I've always seen her hanging out on her phone. I've purposefully avoided her in the past however when I walked in she was the only stylist I could see so I just decided to give it a go. Like I previously mentioned she never introduced herself however she's a middle aged black woman with tattoos and she ruined my haircut. The only question she asked me was how long did I want it after that she just started cutting. She never asked if I wanted it square in the back or rounded. She didn't ask if I wanted my beard trimmed or offer other products. All the other stylists do a pretty good job but she ruined my hair. If you decide to get a haircut from this location think again and do not sit in this woman's chair. I'm going to have to go to another salon to get another haircut.

If you're looking for a good haircut at an affordable price, this is the place to go. Conveniently located near the Brookland/CUA metro. It's slightly confusing where the entrance is (sandwiched in between an apartment building and Starbucks), but the staff is professional, friendly, responsive, and above all, skilled. The space itself is clean but tiny. It wasn't busy when I was there, but I'm sure the wait is longer when it's crowded. I'd recommend checking in on the app/online if you're going during peak hours.

Bonita just gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a long, long time this weekend and it took her maybe around 10 min.I never review salons but just wanted to throw that out there. If you’re a guy who wants a quick good haircut, go see Bonita.

I’ve been here several times and had different people cut my hair. You tend to get whichever stylist is available at the time of your visit… One of the ladies working the evening of Friday 10/27 was absolutely terrible. She cut into my beard and missed spots. I don’t have a complex cut, I literally wanted a half guard around the sides and back… I believe she cut my hair once before a couple months ago as well. The time before she cut a chunk of hair off and the entire back of my hair was uneven. I don’t know what to expect when I get my haircut here. It will either be decent from one of the more experienced people, or you’ll get this lady and she will mess your hair all up.
