The service here is extremely overpriced. I regret taking my wedding dress here. I went to the store four times for fittings and paid over $1100. They did okay with the hem, but the waist, bust and straps fit worse than when I purchased the gown (no weight gain or loss). On my wedding day, the strap ended up breaking, and two buttons came off. Please research other options for important alterations!!

Fleuris is so friendly and has done an amazing job with two dresses in the past and now my wedding dress. They are not cheap but you will not be disappointed with their work. They are clearly very skilled and can make adjustments while you wait to make sure every little detail is how you like it.

I'm so happy that I was referred here by Lovely bridal salon. I got my dress off the rack (I fell in love with the beading design) so it already mostly fit. A lesser tailor would have looked at me clueless and only done exactly as I directed. Meanwhile the highly competent women here got straight to work, pinning the dress here and there, catching things I would have missed until the second fitting. I feel very confident that they won't let me leave with my dress until it fits perfectly and exactly as a wedding dress should, flattering, sexy, stunning. My wedding day will be exactly what it should be thanks to Green and Blue and I can't thank them enough! <3

My experience at Green and Blue Studio was very mixed. Ultimately the team was not able to make the right alterations for my wedding gown and I needed to take it somewhere else. For the price I expected a much nicer experience. I felt rushed at each fitting and didn't think they were listening to my requests. If you just need your wedding dress hemmed, Green and Blue would be fine. For anything else I would recommend looking elsewhere.

I brought a jumpsuit for my wedding here to be hemmed and have the bodice brought in a bit. Everyone was so kind, efficient, and easy to work with. I wish I had brought my wedding gown here -- my experience was so much better here than at my bridal salon.

I brought my wedding dress here to be altered by recommendation of Lovely Bride, where I purchased my dress. Green and Blue Studio was able to accommodate my quick timeline and my dress it like a glove! The employees are very kind and detail-oriented.

I was so rushed the entire fitting. After the alterations were done, they did not steam my dress. It was extremely wrinkled, and they asked for additional $300 for that service! I do not recommend Green and Blue Studio.

DO NOT GO HERE. I had several alteration appointments because they simply could not fit my wedding dress to my body. I ended up spending so much money just to buy another dress. They charge you for every little change you make and do not care about how you will look and feel on your wedding day. Do not let Lovely Bridal Shop send you here. Go anywhere else.

Daniela, Michaela, and the entire Green and Blue Studio team are truly stunning artists and craftsman. I brought in my mom's and my fiance's mom's dresses to create my wedding dress. They did a STUNNING job bringing my design vision to life. They evaluated the quality of the existing fabrics and were able to save a lot of it. They reused the lace details from both dress to put as small design touches on my own. They were personable, responsive, flexible and great designers and fabricators. I cannot recommend them enough!! Truly stunning work. My bridesmaids and I will definitely be recommending everyone we know getting married to come here for dresses and or alterations. Stunning work!!!

Green and Blue Studio was recommended to me by multiple people and dress boutiques and now I know why! My wedding dress fit me perfectly. After our wedding, I've had multiple people comment specifically on how well my dress was tailored and how it fit me like a glove. Thank you to Green and Blue Studio for making sure I felt comfortable in my dress.

On behalf of my wife: "First, I want to acknowledge that I came in with a dress that wasn’t very easy to alter, was probably a size too big and that I accepted the alterations as they were. I really appreciated the staff's willingness to help, and they gave a slight discount on the train removal, since I was having so much other work done to the dress. My dress needed to be hemmed and have the train cut off – both of which were done excellently! But it also needed to be taken in at the bust and waist. When coming in for the final fitting, I was told by the seamstress that I could use fabric tape to reduce the gap between the top of my dress and my skin, and that the alterations in the waist would keep my strapless dress up. But the fabric tape did not hold up at all. My dress was falling down most of the night, and my hair was falling into my dress, since it didn’t fit me properly. All in all, it worked out okay, and the hemline was perfect! But, given that the end price for the alterations was almost as much as I spent on the dress to begin with, I wasn’t super happy with the results."

This is an honest review, not meant for hate, if you had a good experience, that’s awesome for you. The staff was overall very kind, especially the seamstress. They made a few comments on my body that made me feel a little uncomfortable suggesting I needed to alter myself instead of the dress. This was kind of a common occurrence as I was looking for a wedding dress in general. I am a midsize woman with curves, 37 bust, 31 ish waist, 42 hip. Street size 6-10 depending on brand. This studio is also very pricey, probably due to the fact that it’s located in Washington DC. It’s incredibly hard to find parking around Dupont Circle. If you don’t live in Washington DC, I wouldn’t recommend trying to drive into the city for alterations. My biggest issue was that on my wedding day, my dress had a huge gap in the back. The seamstress put in a belt on the inside of the dress. This was done so that my dress, which was off the shoulder fit and flare sheath, was held up, mostly at my waist, and not putting pressure on my shoulders. This was a great idea, except for the fact that when the belt was tightened on my wedding day, the train of the dress pulled the extra fabric out so that from the side I look wider than I am, and the back of the dress did not contour my back in that classic intentional way that the dress was designed for. The fabric was meant to be tight to the bum and then flare out. This was very disappointing, because we paid extra to add buttons onto the dress, so that I would have that look that I was going for, but ultimately it was a huge disappointment, and for the price, it was not worth it. The dress looks beautiful from the front in pictures, and from far away in the back because the designer is incredible and the fabric is amazing, but now I have pictures from a day I can’t ever re-create where I don’t look the way that I should in a dress design to fit a certain way.(It’s a little hard to see in the pictures, but you could literally squeeze the extra fabric on the back of the dress.)
