I got a haircut and blow out from Rose, both were great. She was very knowledgeable and had recommendations for the best cut for me and was very thorough with her sectioning and cutting. The blow out was wonderful, my hair has been so smooth even two days after. I have been struggling to find a good salon in DC but now I have found the salon I will continue with. Thank you guys!

Ferri’s Beauty at Guven Hair Salon is a true treasure of Glover Park. As an aesthetician, she offers an excellent range of services and invaluable advice, emphasizing the importance of preventative care. "Sunscreen is your best friend," she often reminds me. Her threading technique is meticulous, extremely good value, and she always takes the time to ensure perfection. If you’re looking for quality and care, Ferri is the one to see. I can't recommend her enough!

Love, love, love to come here to pamper myself and 1000% know that I will walk out satisfied with amazing looking hair. I have been a loyal customer for about 5 years now and from day one, Guven was always honest about my options to have healthy and beautiful hair. My hair is strong & blonde, and I’ve never been so content with my hair and how long it has grown over the years. Beautiful salon & such caring staff. If you want change, this IS the place :’)

Saw Guven. I asked him to "dust the ends" and said "I'm not looking to be shorter" and its 2+ inches shorter.
I asked for no layers in the back, and it is layered. I should have walked out when he seemed really confused by this request. Top salons in Chicago, DC, and NYC have done this for me without batting an eyelash, so I'm not sure where his pushback came from. I got the sense that he has a set haircut he cannot deviate from, so requests throw him off.
I asked for weight out of the bottom, but he cut all the wispiness away and left it thick and full there. That's not a bad look, but it isn't *my* look. I even told him stylists often use thinning shears. He just nodded then made everything blunt.
I think he did his best, but my directions were so very clear and they were completely ignored. If you can't or won't do what your customer plainly states, say so and give them the chance to walk away vs. live with hair they don't want. To get rid of these layers, I either have to cut it even shorter (when it's already shorter than I wanted) or deal with bad hair until it grows out.
I told him I don't have time to style daily and layers make my stick-straight hair look shaggy and unhealthy when they aren't curled, and that's why I didn't want layers in the back, and he still put them. There was no ambiguity here, folks.
He did a good blowout but I can't recommend.

I got my hair cut and dyed by Rose for my upcoming graduation. I was a little nervous as I had never visited this salon before, but Rose did an incredible job. I wanted my hair dyed back to my natural color, and she gave me the perfect color! She also gave me a beautiful haircut that left my hair looking voluminous and healthy, despite my extra fine hair. The blowout I got at the end was also a pleasant surprise, and she even gave me a shower cap and plastic covering to wear home as it was raining. I also think the price point for the service was super fair. Overall, I had a great experience with Rose, who was so caring and talented.
