Worst customer service, every time I go in I get very negative vibes, no one smiles or says hello. I went in yesterday to exchange some cat food unopened for a different flavor because my cat tried one and wouldn’t eat it. One woman at customer service asked me a million if questions and I gave her my phone number to look up my Vic account but she said it was not found, I always use my vic ecard when I make purchases, anyways she then said ok to get the other cat food that I want and exchange it. I grabbed the ones i want and then went back to the customer service counter and the lady was very rude, looking at me in a bad way her name is Katika. I told her to ask the other lady because she didn’t want to process the exchange! She came back and did the exchange without saying a word and I thanked her at the end, she didn’t even reply! I will not spend my money at your store anymore

They have lots of checkout stations and clerks, as well as four self-checkout stations. I use Samsung Pay without any issues here. The store gets very busy on Sundays and Monday evenings, when most people do their grocery shopping.

I recently visited this location to pick up a few things after the snow storm. I couldn’t find Chicken Broth for my soup! A nice lady named Veronica noticed my confusion and she assisted me in finding the exact broth I was looking for. She even suggested another broth I could use for my Ramen, so I got that too!
I felt obligated to check out with Veronica after that type of customer service. She and Thywon were kind and patient, through all of my request. I’m neurodivergent and I like my items packed a certain way, Thywon handled everything with care and made my bags easier to carry.
It is a struggle having an invisible disability and navigating adult task that may seem simple to others. I had to leave a review because I can’t remember the last time I felt this good leaving a grocery store lol. For once, didn’t feel overwhelmed or unseen.
Thank you Veronica and Thywon for being so kind! Our brief interaction made my week and I’m officially a loyal customer.

For the Asian folks (India :-)), get the whole wheat flour, ghee, powdered spices such as turmeric, cumin, black pepper, as well as onion and garlic (even chops) at one place. Get instant coffee jars of Nescafe, starbucks and other brands. I couldn't find the loose tea, but there were black tea bags of known brands including Twinnings and Tetley. I spotted rice packets as well. I'm certain the lentils are also available, and plenty of fresh fruits and raw vegetables. Nothing replaces your home but this place gives you almost everything you need to set up a kitchen similar to what you had back home.

"I recently purchased bananas from Harris Titer on NW Kalorama Rd, but unfortunately, they didn’t ripen even after more than a week. I followed all the proper storage methods, but they remained hard and inedible. It was disappointing, as I rely on fresh produce for my meals. I hope they can address the quality of their fruit supply in the future."

I had a pleasant experience at this store when I visited the store on 10/18 Especially of the associates there shola which I did not even know she was a manger until she told that helped me with my exchange. Although it was crazy at customer service she managed to go above and beyond with my exchange.

DO NOT take the Elevators in this store. Another individual and I was stuck in the elevator today until Special Security Force and DC Fire Department open the doors. What a scary experience! The 2 other elevators were already broken . The Interior Intercom in Elevators does not work.The employees have voiced their concern to management and HT did not address this issue properly in order to protect the public.I love this store and the employees but Harris Teeter management needs to step up to the plate in order to make the customers feel safe. Harris Teeter failed the residents of DC in this situation. These elevators have had ongoing issues for years. I do not trust HT in resolving this issue based upon discussions with employees and years of problems with these elevators. Very sad and alarming!!

The staff at this store is very cold and unfriendly. I am new to the area and when you walk in the store one says 'hi or welcome' they just stare at you like you are privileged to come in to the store. Now, let's me be clear that I am only speaking of this particular Harris Teeter. I have been to other Harris Teeters and they don't make you feel unwelcome and unfriendly. I
f you have a choice go to the one at Constitutional Square next to New York Ave. Station. If not, go to another chain store like a Trader Joe's, Aldi or Giant. But spare yourself having to deal with the cold and unpleasantness of these people, especially the guy who works the customer service counter. He is nasty, snotty and very unprofessional.
