Extremely unreliable pharmacy. Dealing with mental health concerns is difficult enough without having to deal with such a poorly run pharmacy. Calls are never answered and it is always a process to get any medication filled.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Called to ask if an Rx was in stock, the pharmacist said, "potentially" saying he could not confirm it for some reason, but told me to walk over to their store "they might still have some when I walk over". Walked over...there was none in stock... he just wanted to plug in my insurance card number in person... he didn't even bother to check before I walked in. Turns out he admitted that when I called, he hadn't actually checked if any was in stock...

There’s a female pharmacist that shouldn’t be in the medical profession, that’s working here, as many others noted. The other pharmacists are mostly ok (1, is pleasant & understanding). If you try and call to have a question answered you need to dedicate 20+ mins & a glass of wine to keep you patient.Avoid unless absolutely necessary. If you come here on the weekends — forget about it!! - save yourself the struggle.

Update: was on hold for over an hour. Called back to try and connect again and they hung up on me. I will be using a different pharmacy from here on out. DO NOT UTILIZE THIS PHARMACY IF YOU NEED MEDICATION IN A TIMELY MANNER!I use this pharmacy as it is the nearest one to where I live and also is my grocery store. But, I have found it increasingly more and more difficult to ever get a pharmacist to answer the phone. It's very difficult to re-order my prescriptions and I have also found that the last three times I've gone to pick up my prescription, despite having made a note that I need the name brand product, they don't tell me until I arrive that it's the generic. They then tell me that it will be multiple days before they can get the correct item so they've had to send me elsewhere to pick up the correct medication. I think I may need to just switch pharmacies altogether to avoid this cycle.

Unreliable service. I recommend people use a different pharmacy service. They never have prescriptions or vaccines ready. This includes situations when making an appointment for a vaccine.

We had never been to a HT before. Nice experience lots of good quality choices. Well marked and easy to find what you want.

I have never experienced such rude behavior in my life. My doctor sent two prescriptions to the Harris Teeter Pharmacy 1201 First St NE, Washington, DC location at 5pm. Knowing this pharmacy is always slow, I waited until 6:45pm to pick it up keeping in mind that they close at a ridiculously early 7pm. The pharmacist was sitting on her fat behind staring at the clock and huffed and muttered a rude remark when she finally noticed me standing at the counter to be waited on. She never smiled, rudely asked my date of birth, stomped around looking for my script, never said another word but how much I owed. When I got outside, I noticed she only gave me one of the two my doctor sent in. It was a minute after 7, 7:01, and while she was still there, refused service that she should have given me to begin with if she was doing her job correctly. I told her I needed my medicine that my doctor wanted to me start on it immediately and for someone who works in medicine should see that given the type of medicine. She just said, "tough come back tomorrow". This woman should not be working in healthcare if she provides this type of customer service. She also refused to give me her name and laughed when I asked for it. Harris Teeter, this might be the last of me since your employee refused to provide customer service on an urgent prescription that she should have given me the first time if the heifer was doing her job. All of them a rude. I wouldnt be surprised if they make numerous errors each day since they only thing they are good at is sitting on their butts.

So many terrible experiences with their staff who are unprofessional at all levels. On multiple occasions, their delays and lack of communication have resulted in me being without critical medication. I strongly recommend filling your prescriptions elsewhere.

If I could, I would rate zero. Last night was our last visit. I would sooner travel outside of my own neighborhood to get groceries. 5 employees trying to figure out the self check out kiosk, there are ten lanes available that one of the five could've hopped on. I'm tired of being forced to the self check out, just for the kiosks to say "help is on the way" because the kiosk assumes I stole something. But then everyone saw someone walk out with a whole lot of groceries. The person walked by the staff and the "security". All did nothing. Another instance with the self check out, a man in a wheel chair asked to have a lane open because everyone was in the self check out with their full carts. But all 5 staff members went to Prove this man wrong, that he was able to use the self check out lane. Finally, after someone came to review that nothing as been stolen, it was impossible to pay. Tried three times, and the machine was not accepting cards. No one red the person walked out. He doesn't have time for their bs and clearly the rent a cop doesn't do a thing.

My doctor called in my script around 1:30ish today, spoke to someone, and was able to confirm that they had the meds in stock and that it would be ready within an hour.I arrived to pick them up around 4:45, 15 min prior to close. When I was up next at the counter they told me they were about to close and wouldn’t fill my script.Of course I was caught by surprise and proceeded to ask questions since The script was called in around 130, we were told it’d be ready in an hour. They proceed to claim to not have spoken to my doctor, and that my doctor left a voicemail. BUT, my doctor is adamant she did NOT leave a voicemail and talked to a person bc she made sure she got the timing since she knew I needed to start my script today and would be out running errands. See I typically use the cvs pharmacy across the street but they are closed on sundays and we weren’t unable to reach a pharmacist.I’m mostly confident the staff this evening lied to my face and refused to provide me service given the time. As a result, I’ll be late on starting my script and wasted a trip. Pretty nasty business and patient service if you ask me.Hopefully tomorrow they’ll have my medicine ready.

I've been here 3 days in a row trying to pick up my prescription. They keep saying it'll be here tomorrow. Today the pharmacist basically told me they have no clue if my prescription will show up. There's 1 pharmacist here that is always very pleasant and helpful. The rest are just rude and couldn't care less. This place sucks.

This is not a bad supermarket if you're in the neighborhood. There are a lot of self check out lanes and only 1 real cashier which is a painpoint for people who may have questions or concerns. I've waited a while at self check out for help on more than one occassion.Their hot food buffet at 9.99 is expensive for what you're getting. A lot of wet food and protein with bones, not very well seasoned. Some good deals if you look for them.

Updated review: The location is perfect. Parking is free. I noticed that Harris Teeter is more focused on how long customers park in the garage. I saw a person with a clipboard on a recent trip. With several options in a small radius (Safeway, Giant, Trader Joe's, Walmart) there are some items I don't need to purchase from Harris Teeter. HT has great sales to get you in the door. If you don't need two items when they are "Buy one get one free," you can get just one item for half price. The produce section is hit or miss. There are a few items that are locally grown. I like getting tomatoes and supporting local business. Some of my favorites plant based or meat free items aren't stocked anymore (Worthington, Loma Linda). Morning Star items are stocked (less variety and priced higher than Walmart & Safeway). There are interesting clearance items that are always placed so they are noticed after I have already checked out. The store has a nice seating area for grabbing something for lunch & resting a minute. The personal touch has left the store. Even at peak shopping hours, there will only be one or two registers open. More self check out registers were added. I like interacting with a person when I check out. The shopping carts disappear quickly. If you see one in the parking area, grab it.
