I usually go to Hermes out of the country, and the two times I have been to the DC store was excellent. The staff was professional, Mr. Calderon is a lovely knowledgeable man who is genuinely interested in helping his clients and I worked with a Mrs. Emebet today and she a lovely person inside and out. The Manager helped me finish my purchases as I had many gift receipts without any concern. Excellent experience.

This was a disappointing experience at Hermes. The customer service fell far below luxury standards. Waiting in an unmanaged queue for an extended period without any indication of service was frustrating. Severe understaffing resulted in a rushed and unhelpful interaction with associates who were indifferent. Despite the long wait, there was no offer of refreshments, and the overall shopping experience felt hurried and unsatisfactory.

Horrible, horrible service. They are always inadequately staffed and force customers to wait over an hour in line for assistance. After spending 75 mins in line for a return, I was turned away because it was an online purchase. A retailer of this price point should consult with their customers upon arrival to confirm the return is possible before they waste their time. Staff is cold and unfriendly. Highly recommend avoiding this location as it diminishes the Hermes brand.

The Washington DC Boutique fails spectacularly at customer service. Staff are inhospitable and cold; the security guard although not an Hermes employee was more welcoming than the boutique associates who seem challenged to acknowledge waiting customers, make eye contact or even smile!I ordered an item and opted to have it shipped well in advance of a special occasion date. Almost 3 weeks later, the item has still not arrived. Multiple calls, emails and empty promises later that a manager would reach out to me, and I still have not heard back from anyone. When you call the boutique you are actually routed to a call center that is completely useless for anything besides taking your contact info and promising that someone from the boutique will call you back. They have no access to your order history or tracking information and conveniently blame the "shipping department" for any issues with orders not received. Had someone gotten in touch with me for status, I would have been perfectly happy to cancel the original order, re-purchase the item and ship it myself with a shipping service to make sure it got there on time. I've been charged for the item, STILL have not received the item and Hermes apparently does not provide tracking info for shipments. My special occasion was ruined when the gift did not arrive. The real shame here is the management at the DC location. Zero sense of urgency, communication and follow through. Also, take ownership for problems! Its really unprofessional and tacky to point fingers at internal departments. I will continue to spend at Hermes but any future purchases will be online or through retailers more committed to customer service than the DC location.

Walked into the store, and the security guard told me to go wait in line if I want to browse around first I can which I did then waited in line for someone to help me the employees finished up with all the clients they were helping with, and just stood on their phones instead of asking if I needed help. If I could get zero stars I would.

Is there any one in headquarters that can respond to the horrible customer service this store provides. I purchased a bag from a rude employee. She gave me her card. When I reached out to her to purchase another bag she didn't reply or answer her phone. I was initially working with a male associate but he was even worst! I placed an order with him for Christmas and he never go back in touch with me. Everyone should be fired and they should hire more friendly professional staff.

We initially ended up buying a scarf here despite the store's consistently abysmal customer service because it was coincidentally one of the few stores in the world that had it in stock. We came back a second time with the intention of buying another item, but decided not to after an even worse customer service experience. It seems like these incompetent sales associates are actively trying to avoid selling merchandise. We've always found the service at the Flagship store in Paris to be impeccable, which made our experience here even more jarring in comparison."I work here; I know what I'm doing," insisted a condescending employee for no particular reason while mistakenly referring to a scarf that came out in October as "our new collection." We would've ordered the item for in store pick up, but were so turned off by the staff's absurd and unearned superiority complex that we decided to walk down the street to Dior. I suggest you do the same.

The level of service I experienced at this Hermes store was truly disappointing!During my initial visit, the attendant seemed disinterested and absorbed in her phone until I mentioned a reserved scarf. Today I visited the store again to purchase a scarf, and the experience was even more regrettable.Despite expressing interest in a specific color and showing willingness to purchase despite uncertainties about the size, the salesperson's attitude was incredibly condescending.When I inquired about the scarf's availability in the back of the store, recalling a previous visit, I was met with a dismissive response "I know my job I WORK HERE" after taking all the other colors out even after I mentioned that wasn't needed because I wanted just this specific color.Ultimately, I would rather take my business elsewhere, either to another physical location or online, to avoid further encounters with sales staff who fail to prioritize customer satisfaction and common courtesy.As someone with six years of experience in high fashion, I found the treatment at this store to be exceptionally lacking compared to the industry's standards. It's a shame a great brand is being tainted by such incompetence.

This is a great boutique, highly recommend! I especially appreciate the help of a lovely SA named Grace. She is knowledgable about hermes products and makes great recommendations. She is a fun person to shop with and she always makes you feel welcomed and cared for.
