What a neighborhood treasure !!
We just had a fabulous lunch - food and service excellent!
Julio, thank you for the perfect outdoor table and your gracious hospitality.
We highly recommend the beef carpaccio and eggplant Parmesan. Nice wine pour, too!!
Can’t wait to return.

Had the most amazing appetizers and cocktails at HRC by emissary. Our server, Julio, was so welcoming and helpful! We are excited to return and explore more of the menu.

Me and my wife went here for breakfast and the food was immaculate. The server was very kind and constantly checked up on us. Great place for studying, dates, and study dates😉

I was served an iced Americano in a filthy cup, which ruined the experience for everyone at our table. We couldn't finish our drinks and ended up tossing out almost all of it, yet we were still charged. It seemed like the cups and dishes hadn't been properly cleaned and may have been left in the dishwasher. The staff appeared distracted, busy on their phones and chatting, which could explain the oversight. I’ve attached a photo of the drink—there wasn't just a small dirty spot; there was food floating in it. I tasted it twice, once without looking and then again to confirm, and it was revolting. I feel sick, and my lips are numb. It was a complete waste of money and time.

Used to go here alot when it was the coffeeshop/cycling shop for lunch/brunch/coffee on rides and walks or to work and have mtgs. Have been twice for dinner since it changed and am shocked it's not busy because it's genuinely best food in Georgetown (and, yes, I've been to Bonne Vache and Villa Yara). It's more creative food, lots of options (always plenty of fish, gf, and veg/vegan things so works for those with restrictive diets), very shareable and well-priced and executed. Full bar with good drinks too. I'd definitely go here on a date (have twice) or with family or friends. It's a cute, quieter space off the m st main drag and makes me super sad that it's not busier because the neighborhood needs more places like that; relaxing and upscale, but unpretentious. I prefer the food and vibe compared to the other options in the neighborhood and better value for money. Definitely give it a try!

Used to be great, now it's pretentious, bad food and just plain drab. Nothing to do with bikes anymore, just catering to a bunch of boojy Georgetown kids.
