The carpet is really old and dirty, but everything else is great. It is minutes of walk to the Amtrak Union station and is just at the corner of the region for tourist. A wonderful place if you’re traveling Amtrak and don’t want to spend too much.

This place messed up so bad. They had a chance to fix the problem when the primary guest asked, but they didn't and the rest of the guests on the reservation had a hard time checking in.I stayed here with a small group of colleagues from work. This was a work trip. We had four rooms under a single reservation. The person at my work who made the reservation insisted that all our names had been added to the reservation. We were all arriving at different times.One guest had trouble because the hotel said his name wasn't on the reservation. Ok, we can possibly chalk that up to human or computer error. He contacts the person who is listed as the primary guest. The primary guest tells the hotel that there are more guests who will check in later. Primary guests asks if he needs to provide the names. Hotel says no and everything will be fine.I arrive later and the hotel says I'm not listed on the reservation and won't let me check in. The hotel gives me confusing info on what I need to do. First they tell me to have the primary guest use the Hilton app to add me. Then they say the primary guest has to call the hotel. I have trouble contacting my colleague because he's busy sightseeing and meeting other colleagues. The hotel also gives me wrong information about the reservation. They're saying it's two rooms. I correct them and say it's four rooms. They check closer and see two people have checked in. They're somehow confused about how that and they say they'll get a manager.I finally get in contact with the primary guest and he gives the hotel my name and the name of another colleague who is arriving later. I was in the lobby for at least 30 minutes trying to fix this. I met with no manager and I didn't see one show up to the desk at all.A lot of this could have been avoided if the hotel had checked the additional guest names when the primary guest asked about it when he had to sort out the check in issue the first time.I have never had a good experience at a Hilton hotel. It was not my choice to stay here.

We could see the capital dome from the hotel! Excellent location! The bartenders were amazing!!! The room was large and cozy. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful! Great stay!

The hotel is wonderful. The location is perfect for visiting Washington.Bonus: the staff is extremely helpful. In addition to doing the typical hotel tasks well, the staff provided helpful tips and suggestions which made our trip significantly better.Rooms: The room was very well designed.Plus the bed is more comfortable than the bed I have at home. And yes we have a nice bed at home.Nearby activities: There were more museums and activities within walking distance than we could visit.Walkability: The US Capital and the Smithsonian museums were all in easy walking distanceWe even walked to the White House.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights for a conference. I received a warm welcome from Mary S. She assisted me with my check-ins and informed me about the hotel amenities, and superb customer service!The Breakfast Buffet is worth your buck because of the variety of foods to choose from it's hot and fresh. Roberto one of the servers took care of me, making sure my cup of coffee was always full and always asked if I needed something. I was energetic caffeine caffeine-loaded that day. Thanks, Roberto.My room is neat and cozy. The floor carpet is deep cleaned. The linen and towels are clean and organized,From the front desk, housekeeping, and the restaurant crew. You guys are amazing, Keep it up!! See y'all next year!

Great place to stay. My family and I stayed here two days on a family trip of 14 people. Room was always restocked with towels, and the breakfast is great. Stayed her because it was a walking distance to the Amtrak train station, restaurants, and bus terminals. As a group of 14 we needed it to be a walking distance from bus transportation. The staff was friendly and had no problems.Walkability: Never had to get a taxi, a bus stop was close by were by and my group members could travers and explore Washington D.C together.

The room was clean and the hotel was clean, that’s always my number one priority. We were welcomed immediately and helped with our bags. We needed two rooms next to each other and the people working the front desk promptly answered phone calls and arranged for our rooms to be side by side. The location felt safe and we were in walking distance to everything without being directly downtown.

Thank you Hilton for being so amazing and having us all. As a participant at The National Coalition for Homeless Leader Conference. The staff is amazing and very great people to meet. I would like to say thank you to our servers. My 70 year young and amazing buddy held us down with the coffee. The effective and efficient work kept us on our toes cause you clean up super fast. Your great personalities and polite demeanor are appreciated. You that serve and clean are the reason I will have all good memories of the Hilton. You work so hard and you are so kind and welcoming. You are the amazing people in this world that serve others in good spirit. You are appreciated ??Rooms: Room is clean, clean, clean!Nearby activities: In the middle of everything so we went on a couple trips through DC.Walkability: We had a lotmof work and a lot.of fun. My only gripes about this place were that our room smelled of pool water at first (went away later on). Their breakfast was super expensive around $26 a person. They were doing a bit of remodeling when we were there and you see it right as you go in.Great things about this hotel were that if you pay for their parking they have valet that will park your car for you and bring it back up to the hotel at a moments notice whenever you need it. That you can leave your car there til 5pm on the day you checkout (11am). The rooms are nice and bathroom in your room is very spacious and updated with huge shower head and double sliding glass doors. Bed was very comfortable with 2 pillows for each side. Tv in your room seems to be about 50". The staff are very friendly and super helpful even knowing about local attractions and different ways to get there.All in all I would choose this hotel again in a heartbeat!

Room was very nice, super clean when i arrivedGreat view of the CapitolThe employees were all top-notch. Some of the kindest hotel employees I’ve met in my travels. Special kudos to the security/ bellmen - super kind and always willing to helpBar made a great margaritaOnly negative for me was location. The area surrounding it could be a little sketchy the later it got at night. I was of course there on a holiday weekend so it was quiet, but it is 1-2 blocks to the Union Station Metro and the bus circulator to the National Mall

I stayed here for a work trip followed by a little site seeing. Great location, excellent service, and clean space. Our drinks at the bar were good and we had a yummy breakfast both mornings. The rooms are slightly worn and a bit generic looking but comfortable.

I had the pleasure of staying at the exceptionally clean and impressive Hilton Hotel. Right from my arrival, I was warmly greeted by the General Manager. The fact that I received an upgrade to a suite only made my experience even more enjoyable. The hotel's location, very close to the Capitol, is truly unbeatable, and the area is extremely peaceful. The service was outstanding and added to the overall pleasantness of my stay. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!
