Completely unprofessional experience. "Gallery" was never open. I paid a small fortune to have a solo show to be manned and promoted. No press release or labels as promised in contract. The "gallerist" did not come to the opening and guests were left to wait out in the rain. No signage whatsoever. My name and statement were never posted on the wall. I was in tears at my opening while friends and family frantically put up labels on the paintings. Gallery owner has lied repeatedly. He offered to give me half my money back for this unacceptable experience and then went back on his promise. Now he is threatening to sue me...I'm not sure what for? I am not the first artist he has done this to. I am warning others not to work with this "gallery" so that they do not have the horrible experience I did. Artists please protect yourselves.
