As soon as I walked in I saw the woman walk around to the front desk WITH NO SHOES ON. Then the other lady who did our taxes was rude and not helpful. She did a fine job on the actual taxes which is why this review has 2 stars instead of 1. When I went in to sign my return, one of the tax professionals got up from his desk and had his belt completely unbuckled and his zipper down. His pants were falling off.... Strange place

Received the absolute worst service in my life with the agent getting smart with me and the front desk agent rolling her eyes. Then the agent put in my social wrong which delayed my refund. Charged me $200 for a basic W2. The last time I will ever step foot in any H&R Block.

It's 11:24pm on tax day and I just had to file my own taxes after being ghosted by my "tax pro" Jeanetta Johnson.
During the last several weeks, Ms. Johnson missed multiple scheduled meetings, didn't respond to a single message left on H&R's internal system or via email. When she did try to contact me, it was during inconvenient times where I was unable to answer the phone. When I called her back, I found myself speaking with an automated system.
I finally went in person after a missed video meeting to meet Ms. Johnson in person. She was rude, short, condescending and generally unpleasant. She was helpful, but went back to ghosting me shortly after.
I will never ever use H&R Block again. And should you decide to do so, I would advise avoiding Jeanetta Johnson at all costs.

I have worked with H&R Block for years but cannot under any circumstances recommend this location. Staff was rude and unprofessional. I was talked down to and my questions were dismissed or met with annoyed half answers. I regret not waiting the three weeks to get in at my usual location.

Do not allow these people to do your taxes. Unfortunately, they are inexperienced. I caught several mistakes and had them redone by a professional, who let me know that it’s the most that she has ever had to amend on a return in her 20+ year career .

I LOVE my tax expert, Elnora Dooms-Boe! She's been my tax lady for several years and even though I moved away from Washington, DC, I still turn to Elnora! She's got a great combination of good humor, patience and expertise...she's PERFECT!
