The Alchemist room was very unique and interesting, we did got stuck a few times but Amanda was super helpful without revealing the answers to the puzzles. Lots of fun, highly recommended!

One of my favorite escape room locations in the DMV. I've done two of the rooms now with a couple friends and we always have a great time. You truly feel immersed in the room and the props are really authentic and fun to use. I also love that the team doesn't give you clues unless you ask for them, but there's also no limit to the number of clues you can get if you need them.Definitely would recommend.

Worst escape room I’ve ever done. Arrived for our booking and the room wasn’t set up, and throughout the Alchemist game multiple clues were missing (which the game master had to slip under the door). On top of that, the entire second half of the room was STILL left unset up even after the first mishap. Overall ruined the experience completely AND to add to the disappointment, I have contacted their customer support twice and heard nothing back….*also just outdated in general compared to other competition in the area, save your money and go somewhere better*

This is one of the better Escape Rooms I've done. Very good mystery but not impossible to solve. Easy to reserve. Staff was very friendly and quite helpful

We did the Alchemist. Overall a very beautiful room. It’s one of the harder rooms, an 8/10, so the puzzles were challenging but our game master Amanda was very sweet and helpful with the clues. Would reccomend if in the area

Stumbled upon this gem in a seemingly random location, and was delighted to experience the VR gaming they offered. It really was so much fun, and we had a blast trying out the different games, especially with the added effect of the VR experience!I would 10/10 definitely come back, as they also have a VR escape room I’m dying to try. I only wish there were more games available to play, otherwise an incredibly fun experience (great for all ages)!

We had a fantastic experience here and we chose a difficult room with Level 9, specifically the Alchemist. It was a lot of fun. The host Nicole was very kind to us and gave us clues at the right time.

Insomnia Escape Room DC has some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Not only was the staff member in charge during our visit responsive and quick to assist if needed, but after we left, we accidentally left some items (e.g. cap, postcards, earrings). This was our last night at D.C. so once we returned home, I reached out to them and heard back from Mira, the awesome person who, to my surprise, actually got our items mailed back to us. I truly appreciate her willingness to help.PUZZLES – 4.5/5, appropriately difficult, though there were a few areas that left room for interpretation/misreading (the hidden writing)OVERALL QUALITY – 4/5, some parts did look a little worn but otherwise, it all fit the theme/décor.FUN - 5/5, my wife and I had a great timeCUSTOMER SERVICE – 5/5 (of course)

Did the Alchemist room! So much fun and well decorated! The game master was so nice and helpful! The clues/puzzles are well thought out and lead you to your next clue/puzzle well! Can't wait to come back!
