Very good place to buy Latin products. Unfortunately there is a person who has a very bad attitude towards clients. He is the one who gives the injections when you buy them there.

My go-to spot for Latin goodies like Cafe Bustelo coffee, sliced mango with chili and lime (prepared by request at the counter), and pinwheels/duros de harina (which I cook at home because I can ONLY eat them fresh !!). Progreso offers a wide selection of grocery items, including Badia brand spices. The produce section has many items that I recognize - jalapenos, avocados, cilantro, mangos, papayas, etc. - and many that are not familiar. Always a pleasant experience thanks to their friendly staff.

This market carries a variety of produce that will be appreciated by Asian, African, Carribbean and South American clients. The butcher counter is very clean and the butcher is helpful and knowledgeable. They are my go to for produce and meat!

We were looking for some oxtail and goat and stumbled upon this store. It is a cute little store on the border of DC and Maryland and had the spices and foods we typically cook with. You're not getting lots of these things in a Whole Foods or Safeway. It is small but it is fully loaded and the meat counter was clean, fresh, and appetizing. We bought a bunch of different things to make that night and to stock up our freezer. The butcher was really friendly and helpful - we'd definitely come here again especially if we're looking for cuts of meat or seasonings we can't find in the gentrified grocers.
