Great doctor; I had him for years and he is very capable. But recently he declined to help because of a snafu in my insurance. I was willing to pay out of pocket, but he wouldn't help me. Disappointing.

Dr. Ang is my physician and he is amazing. He is very professional and will always do what is best for the patient. He will never write prescriptions without a battery of test and that is how it should be. I’m very pleased with his care and couldn’t be any happier with the office staff because they’re super attentive and friendly.

Fantastic doctor. Thorough, caring, and great bedside manner. And he responds extremely quickly when you send him a message.

Came to this doctor because they were listed as in-network (Blue Cross). I called and confirmed with the receptionist that they are in fact in-network and scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival, I has handed some HIPPA forms to fill out and one "Patient Financial Responsibility" form- basically stated if the Doctor had any problem collecting payment from my insurance provider they would bill the patient (me).Coming from Florida where I've seen all kinds of scams, new patients, DO NOT SIGN THIS FORM- what it ultimately does is in the event the doctors office misses a process or doesn't complete all steps with the insurance to receive payment they simply pass it on to the patient. Only offices I know that use these types of forms are ones with poor office administrators.Feedback is not for the doctor as I never got to see them, but very poor office administration processes. Patient beware.

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! This is the worst experience I have had visiting a doctor. I came in for my annual physical. Before even having a chance to talk to anyone, I was made to go from room to room to do tests and exams, without being informed of what the tests are for. At one point I was asked to undress and get into a hospital gown for an examine. The person examining me did not even bothering knocking on the door to check if I had finished changing into the hospital gown before letting herself in. After she finished examining me, she proceeded to spray and clean the station while I was still half undressed in the hospital gown. When I finally talked to Dr. Ang, he came off very unprofessional. For example, the results showed that my cholesterol was a bit high, and he recommended diet changes including cutting off all Asian food. I understand making diet changes, but to suggest cutting foods from an entire continent is ridiculous and problematic. Overall the staff was rude and unprofessional. In addition to the poor in-office experience, this office seems to be engaging in fraudulent billing practices. When I had originally set up this appointment, I made it very clear that I was only coming in for my annual physical, which is covered by my insurance. They assured me that I will not be charged for anything else. But now, five months after that appointment, I am getting sent all these charges that I am trying to dispute. Avoid this place!

Liked this place at the very beginning because of how thorough they were, I stopped going when I was expected to take a blood test when I went in to pick up a prescription JUST ONE WEEK AFTER getting bloodwork for my actual appointment, which was just a few months after MORE bloodwork for my actual yearly wellness routine. When you go in expecting to be out in 5 minutes but they hold you for 3 hours then something's up. Besides being a waste of my time, this "routine" testing started to feel like a scam. I was happy to switch doctors.

Amazing doctor! He really takes the time to talk to his patients and explain lab results/answer questions. Highly recommend!

I rarely complain publicly about anyone, but this is one of the worst medical experiences i've ever had. I was traveling when a prescription for HBP ran out and when I got back to the US, the coronavirus lockdown was about to go into effect. I have not been able to get a temporary refill, for HBP medicine. They have a portal that doesn't work, and i've tried to manually call the office several times without any luck. It's crazy. I guess its about getting the reimbursement, but it that really worth losing a potential patient? I've had a script run out or get close to running out before, but if i can't get into the office immediately, i've always been able to get the script extended in the short term.

The service in the office is great. He has a phlebotomist and lab on site, and his employees were very nice, and the physician was friendly. But being a physician is more than just what you do in the office, especially for primary care. I've found this level of service to be unacceptable, and I find it absurd that I am searching for a telemedicine appointment for another physician just to get some HBP medicine.

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a healthcare provider. I came for a yearly checkup for minor issues, and after completing all the paperwork i was told I HAVE to get a blood test alongside a slurry of other ridiculous tests, as all patients are required to before seeing the doctor. I told them I just had a test last week, and that I don't need one but they refused to let me skip the blood test. The staff, while nice, was very defensive and you could see that have they dealt with this issue before. This place is essentially a scam. They order unecessary tests so the doctor can cash out from insurance. This office exemplifies what is wrong with our current healthcare system. Unnecessary tests bog down insurance companies and are a drain on the system. This Dr. has had disciplinary actions against him in the past and I'm surprised that he is still able to practice. I have a health issue (anemia) in which I was told be a previous doc that having too frequent and unnecessary blood tests can exacerbate the condition. I told this to a nurse at this office who laughed and said I still need the blood test. There is literally no other reason for demanding these tests other than to line the doctors pockets. I am very upset by this experience and advise everyone to avoid this place at all costs. I am filing a complaint with the medical board.

Stay away from Dr. Ang. What everyone else says is true. I was his patient for a brief while, and I went through the same struggle as everyone else. Every visit required hours of blood tests, only for Dr. Ang to run over the results with you in an abrasive, condescending style. It wouldn't matter what I was there for -- once I went in because I had an ear infection -- each and every time, you had to go through a barrage of tests regardless of whether or not you needed them. Also, Dr. Ang never sends you a bill. He just hopes you come back, so the front receptionist can spring the bill on you. This ends up being a huge surprise when life events, like changing a job and insurance, means that you are suddenly faced with a bill because your insurance company is skeptical of what Dr. Ang is pulling. Take my advice and stay away.

Below is the link to his DC Medical Board disciplinary finding. READ IT. He did to me exactly what this case reports. His scheme is as such: get unsuspecting customers through the door, throw every test at them under the sun, shove them out the door and then slap them with bills weeks and months later. The case below says that the insurance companies refused payment and so it seems he found a way around this: he takes what he can from insurance and then "waives" a significant chunk of the patient's liability so that he doesn't get further complaints. I assume he's counting on patients just paying it and shutting up because it isn't thousands of dollars like it was before the case was filed against him. It's immoral and disgusting.

Went to see Dr. Ang for a physical, which was fine. Called to get a prescription filled for a medication I’ve been on for life and needed a refill. Refused to fill because it had been a year since I had an appointment. I found out this information over the course of two days when I had to phone several times because apparently nobody cared that I needed this medicine.

Amazing Dr. and the staff is really friendly and accommodating. Even though I don’t live in DC, I have chosen Dr. Ang as my primary Dr. due to his professionalism and the amazing online portal they have where you can see all your medical history.
