Rasheeda Ingram is an excellent sales associate. This is what I wrote to corporate after our visit today:Hi,My husband and I came to the 1200 19th St NW store today to buy a black suit for him. We left after buying three suits: black, tan, and grey linen.Rasheeda Ingram was the sales associate who served us, and I'd like to make sure our compliments to her are passed up to executive.Ms Ingram was everything a sales associate should be, and more. She was attentive, patient, discerning, pleasant, smart, efficient, and capable.This visit was markedly more positive than our last one.Many thanks to Ms Ingram, for exemplary service. I now have a different attitude toward Jos A Bank, a much more positive one, solely because of her.Best regards,The wife of the guy who will be looking good.*noteHusband is an odd size, in between the regular sizes. Where Rasheeda was so helpful was in pointing out that whereas he thinks he is a Long, he is actually a Regular, but the sleeves need adjusting. Tan suit was on clearance, at $150.Black wool suit 30% off for $293.Grey linen jacket and pants for $210.If you go to this store, ask for Rasheeda Ingram.

i'm sure that their sales reps are very nice and knowledgeable, but DO NOT trust their tailoring servicesI dropped off a dark grey suit here for alterations on 9/2, needing the pants and jacket to be taken out about an inch or two. i thought this would be a very straightforward and simple alteration that shouldn't be any real trouble for the tailor. They tell me it'll be ready for pickup on 9/16, but when i arrive on 9/16 they had yet to do any work on them. So i let it go and come back on 9/20 to pickup my suit. I try the pants on and absolutely no work had been done to them.I was beside myself with anger and frustration that a simple alteration could take so long for a professional to get done. I had enough and took it to my neighborhood dry cleaners to actually get the alterations done.

The airline lost my sons luggage and he had an important interview at 10 am. Louis let my son in early and outfitted him head to toe. Louis went above and beyond to help save the day! One of the interviewers said, "nice suit" when my son walked in. Thank you, thank-you, thank-you! You have a loyal customer for life and we couldn't be more pleased with this excellent service.

I shopped first time from Jos A. Bank, Washington DC location. Mr. Louis who was our sales person was kind, helpful and informative. Besides Mr. Louis I have to give a full credit to the alteration lady whose first name was Kim. With their assistance we got exactly what we needed in a very short period of time. Once again I thank them both.

Mr Luis Montoya and Mr Yohannes Mulatu are serious professionals with a nack for humor. They were able to help me navigate the store and even helped me order some things that weren’t in store. Highly recommend going to see these guys for your dress clothes needs.

My recent shopping experience at this location was wonderful! I was in need of a complete tuxedo ensemble with only a few days remaining before my event, and Louis provided me immediate assistance. Without the use of a measuring tape, he was able to select the perfect fit in all articles of the outfit with a single attempt, showcasing an impeccable eye and skillfulness. The entire JAB team contributed to an unparalleled level of attention. Plus, the outfit garnered frequent praise at the event. The team's customer service is much appreciated and I will surely return to this store for future purchases!

I’m not sure if they’re disorganized or just incompetent. But I went in to buy a tuxedo. I tried on several but was told to come back another day for a fitting. I came back on my day off but the tuxedo they put on hold for me apparently wasn’t there. And they had me try on a tuxedo that wasn’t my size. then there was nobody to be found. I just left and found a better tuxedo with attentive service at a competitor.

TL;DR: They require you to get your clothes dry cleaned prior to having alterations, even if the clothes are machine washable.I purchased a set of tailored shirts (in Florida) before the pandemic for the convenience of having free alterations for the life of the shirts.I recently started a new job and found the shirts too tight. I washed the shirts and took them in to this location for alterations. I was barely in the store before I was told that the shirts had to have been dry cleaned and still have the dry cleaner tags before they would accept them. They didn't even look at the shirts and the shirts are advertised as machine washable.

I needed a new suit that day because I had to go out of town and had spilled grease on the one I had. Luis took care of me -- found me a suit, and arranged for a tailor down the street to alter it that day since Jo banks' tailor wouldn't be in until the next day. Can't say enough about the suit or the service! Thank you!
