My dream come true... a book store and restaurant in one! My first time at this iconic institution and I cannot wait to visit again. The food was tasty and came out quick. The have an all day breakfast menu which I thought was awesome. If you come on a nice day; ask for seating outdoors in their back patio!

I love that it's all day breakfast, and cute concept of bookstore/cafe. We went twice while on vacation. The first time it was a lot less busy and we found the quality to be better. The breakfast sandwich was ok, nothing special though the bacon was good. The salad was lovely though. The French toast was pretty good. Would get that again. Though it was definitely better the first time we went. The strawberry pomegranate soda was bomb! Most memorable item I got, and the desserts looked delicious. Just a note, my friend got the crab cream soup side and it was huge! Could have been a main, although she said it was good. Cute ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating

Awesome food and great service. Our son lives here in Washington and every time we come to visit we always come to Kramers for Breakfast/Brunch. It becomes a tradition and we love it. The Cubano and the crab soup Highly recommended!!!

Solid food and good service. Sat here with friends for 2 hours at the big table and didn't have to ask for water refills. Staff was also understanding that friends were late, so we ordered in a staggered manner. Only complaint is that the bathroom exhaust or some kind of bathroom-like odor made its way into our space and ruined my appetite.

Bookstore and cafe built into one! A dream come true and the food was soooo good. The service was fairly quick and there is a bar for wine and alcoholic drinks as well as a bar in the bookstore where you can watch them cook.

Great food - fun atmosphere good for groups. Enjoyed eating out on the patio. Lots of options for most everyone. Recommend reservations.

I was in here today (Friday, 3/1/24) for the first time in years, and it'll likely be my last. I purchased a book and the sales associate ringing me up never once asked if I needed a bag (which I very much did). Finally when I asked if i could have a bag, he reluctantly grabbed a paper bag and haphazardly (barely) placed my purchase inside it. Once he handed it over to me I had to properly open the bag and ensure the book was properly placed into it. There was no "did you find everything ok" or "did you need a bag" or "thank you" - nothing. Just a "there you go" once I was handed my purchase. The whole encounter was bizarre and cold. It pains me to say it but Barnes and Noble has far superior service to this. Thankfully their Georgetown store is reopening.

Friends that live in the area recommended this place due to it being a restaurant counter and book store all in one. It's conveniently located off Dupont Circle and across the street from a metro entrance. It was busy, filled with people checking out books. The restaurant part is at the back on the left; they have tables in the back or bar stools along the side. The menu is extensive with traditional breakfast and brunch items, plus lunch and drinks. I had the classic breakfast with eggs, potatoes, and bacon, plus a nitro cold brew coffee. Staff was mostly attentive, and service with the food was fast so it's a great place if you're in a hurry to start your day. I thought prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes of the food; everything was flavorful and it was filling. They also have a clean restroom, you need to ask for the code. If you love books and are also hungry, this is the perfect place to check out.

waitstaff is unhelpful, food is disgusting. it's a shame that such a nasty restaurant is associated with a great bookstore.

Vegetarian perspective Perfect spot for a lunch meeting. Plenty of seating, though still recommend a reservation because its a popular spot. Tons of vegetarian options on the lunch menu, not much on the brunch side (suggestion to add a tofu scramble!) Only downside was our waiter was MIA a few times, was hard to track down the bill.

The New Orleans Pasta was delicious! The service was prompt and friendly. I come here every time I am in D.C.

A diner inside a bookstore. Kramer's was exactly what we wanted it to be. We were able to have breakfast and dinner at the same time. My wife wanted breakfast for dinner but no one else did. We saw Kramers had breakfast all day and went for it. Everything we had was good. Burger, French toast, eggs Benedict. Everyone was happy.

We waited for 20 minutes for service. The manager noticed and apologized but then it didn't get any better. She did give a discount of 15% but I would have much rather had decent service. The sausage was also definitely cooked hours before being served, it was very dry.

A very well curated bookstore with a wine list & good eats? Attentive and knowledgeable staff, too (both booze & books). What's not to like?!? A great DC stop!
