I can now give this lab five stars. I go here faithfully every three months as prescribed by my doctor's. It's hard drawing blood from me because my veins are just all over the place and hard to get to. I now go there, and nurse Shae has been wonderful and professional. She has no problem with drawing my blood. They used to take it from the back of my hand , which is most of the time more painful than getting it from your arm. Shae ggoesstraight for my arm , and she gets it on one try. Thanks, Shae.
UPDATE: Shae has moved on to somewhere in Waldorf, Maryland.
I now have lab technician Kesha. She is just as awesome as Shae was. Kesha is very friendly, patient, and professional. She, if possible, will not allow another tech to draw blood from me. She knows what I go through, and she helps to alleviate any discomfort that I may experience. Thanks, Kesha!

I love the team they are so sweet. Bebe and the ladies make me giving blood every two weeks a breeze. I was in there when E Leon came in a previous reviewer was there. She was very rude to Ashley when she asked her what was her Doctors name. Don’t give false information on good people. This is the best Lapcorp office I have ever been to. I see them treat every patient with respect, kindness and compassion.

Why does it take 2 weeks to get Bloodwork results!!??? This is the slowest turnaround I have ever experienced!!! I could die before I get the results telling me that I'm dying.

I love the 1160 Varnum Labcorp location!! The staff is the best—so polite and professional. I always walk in with no appointment, and there is never a long wait. To top it off, I have very, very small rolling veins, so it is very difficult to draw my blood, but the fantastic phlebotomists at this location get my blood with one stick every single time. I refuse to go to any other LabCorp. I highly recommend this location!

Ms. Ashely at the front desk was rude today, got upset that I didn’t remember the name of the doctor that put the order in the system, even though she had that information on file. She said “patients need to have that information”. No good morning, nothing, seems like she just woke up upset.
The tech, very good, A+

Ashley is very polite and professional. She was a big help to my mother and myself both visits . If you can interact with her, using this location is fine. For the second time Keisha was rude, unprofessional and uncouth—raising her voice and being incredibly condescendng over her misunderstanding of how wheelchairs with a heavy person work. No point in talking to the supposed manager Charlita as she invalidates whatever you say and does not understand the meaning of being objective and unbiased toward miscreants like Keisha. Will avoid this location as I do not have time to interact with fools like Keisha

I literally was on my way here as I wrote my initial review, as I've had a number of positive experiences. I would have given them 5....BUT This last visit, just to drop off a specimen took 45 minutes because I waited in line, them they told me to check in (not the process at other locations). So I waited and the receptionist was very curt with me. I had to drop off two jugs of urine and my MD emphasized they have to be refrigerated at all times. They told me to drop them on the ground and I asked when they would be processed and they said "today". That could be anytime within the next 5 or 6 hours. I asked if they would keep my specimen refrigerated, and they said don't worry about it. I do worry because I've had issues in the past like this. When I politely asked for assurance they would be refrigerated, I had 2 lab techs charge at me telling me to go to another location. I feel it was a legitimate , and there was no need for nastiness. I am in the process of trying to get diagnosed for a rare and debilitating disease. I have lost weeks and weeks because of LabCorps' (in general) errors, further prolonging a diagnosis and treatment. I am barely able to get myself out of the house, let alone dealing with parking abd taking in my specimens or blood work. Furthermore I have given at least 25 vials of blood that they couldn't use because they were improperly handled. I have also had to spend many hundreds of dollars on tests that were improperly taken. This has to be the most dysfunctional companies I've ever encountered. Some people's lives are in their hands and when they f^%$ everything up, they've always blamed ME! Not one person, even a manager I spoke to at WHC has ever taken accountability. Sick people shouldn't have to endure their torture. Their incompetence should be criminal.

The girl in the reception should learn some manners. Not so accommodating never gonna come back. This is not the way you should handle ill patients.

I will never come to this location again. I had a blood draw and the technician literally jammed the needle into my left arm vein and it hurt a LOT. This picture is of the bruise from 8 days after.
