About Washington Union Station
Washington Union Station is a historic architectural gem and a mixed-use transportation hub located just minutes from the U.S. Capitol. Travelers are greeted with a stunning view of the Capitol building upon exiting the station. The station is generally clean and well-maintained, with dedicated workers noted for their efforts, particularly in painting the rails. While the design of the station is unique, some areas show signs of age, and the cleanliness of the restrooms has been criticized. Visitors have expressed concerns about the lack of signage throughout the station, making navigation difficult for tourists unfamiliar with the layout. There is no information desk for Big Bus Sightseeing inside the station, which has led to confusion and longer travel times for those seeking information. Despite these challenges, many have felt safe while traveling, even during late hours, as security has been noted to be present and effective. Overall, Washington Union Station offers a blend of history, shopping, and dining, although improvements in signage and restroom maintenance would enhance the visitor experience.

The architecture is nice, but it's full of crackheads begging for change and buying said crack in the hallways. Even by DC standards, it's pretty dire.
