I called in advance for a table of five very short notice and they told me they would try their best to seat us. When we go there it was busy but they were able to seat us fairly quickly and even asked if we wanted a different table when one became available. They were all so accommodating and kind. Amazing food and drinks. Will definitely be back again. Amazing women that work there!

Food isn’t that good (not an authentic French boulangerie /pastry shop) and overpriced. I came for the ambience and it this place smells like urine .I guess people only come here for their “name” - there are so better coffee shops in DC!Definitely not coming back to pay over $50 for eggs Benedict and herbal tea.

There a few macarons this good, and I dare say any others are not worth trying. We had flavors such as: Lady Antionette tea, coffee, black currant violet, vanilla, chocolate, passion fruit, pistachio, strawberry candy, and probably a couple more I cant recall at the moment. The staff are friendly and polite. Prices are what they need to be for this level of quality. Again, if you've only had macarons from the grocery store or in a 10 for $5 kind of way, then you're missing out on what a real macaron is meant to be.

Honestly their food is ok but there are plenty of other coffee shops in Georgetown with much much much better service. We came at 4 pm on a Saturday and wanted a nice pick me up meal. It was an oddly warm day in January and we were out by the waterfront enjoying the views but not hungry enough for a meal we popped in and were greeted really rudely. The waitress asked my mother in law abruptly if she had a reservation and we did not. But we waited for a while and eventually for seated. The poor lady at table next to us was with her family and it looked like one of the members is undergoing chemotherapy or was ill. Poor thing, the waitress came by and asked them to leave even though they didn’t finish eating ….. she said the reservation that had that table arrived. It was really strange cuz there was another empty table close by. Their seating area is super small and likely that’s where all the conflict comes from because they only have like 5 tables. But it was awful. They both kept going back and forth and the waitress kept insisting that they get up. She really ruined the whole experience. Anyways, we had average food and it was an ok time but it was super awkward and every time we asked the waitress for anything we felt like a huge burden.I ordered fries at 5:01 and supposedly the kitchen was closed. We were never informed that the kitchen closes at a specific time if we had last minute orders.

Horrible experience. Ordered the Vienna hot chocolate expecting it to have the same thick consistency as other locations. I was let downTasted like I was drinking water with some hot cocoa powder mixed into it.

Food is decent but expensive which is undermined further by the service, which is non-existent. Most of the staff just wants to stand behind the retail counter regardless of any patrons (walk-ins to buy macarons) in or not and tables are largely ignored.

The pastries outside of the macaroons were delicious. Honestly I highly recommend very delicious and creamy. I wanted to like this place but the service was terrible. We ordered tea when we first sat down it came 40 mins later. We asked for honey for our tea it came after we finished our meal and the tea was cold. They didn't explain the the teatime and how you could choose your pastries and what to order, so we rushed through that process. They were out of lot of menu Items from tea to pastries. The manger/server acted like she couldn't understand anything whenever we made a request but had no issue understanding certain people. It got so bad I just wanted to leave. The vibes are weird here. They acted like this was there first time serving anyone and were frazzled. Pick a different location if you want to try this place.

The management does not train the staff AT ALL.
It's not up to the Laduree standard of New York , France and other locations .
Disheartening and disturbing .
How rude the staff is and how negligent the management is .
Nicolas Dreyer encourages the lack of training , accountability and low standards .
Shocking .
They do not value their customers and upholding the standard .
Save yourself and enjoy macaroons at a local business !
I do not recommend .

Interesting place. Certainly not for everyone but a neat place to stop in for an occasional treat. The chocolates were delicious, albeit quite expensive. We stopped in on a whim while walking past after dinner so definitely not a destination restaurant for us.The decor was a bit over-the-top but the employees were all pleasant and efficient.I'm not sure I'll ever go back to this place- and that's not really a dig on them, it's just that I don't typically spend $75 for a small bag of chocolate treats. Even as delicious as they were.Kid-friendliness: Not really a place for kids.

Wait staff was nice, but charged us $9 for a bottle of Evian despite us asking for tap and the store smelled like sewage for some reason? Food, tea, and coffee was delicious so points for that. Would go again if the sewage smell is fixed.

Definitely my go to place for French pastry in DC! The macarons are the best you can get in town, and all the pastries are good as well! There's a new cookie called Eugénie, to try as well. They used to have a mushroom and chicken vol au vent in the menu that was to die for but sadly isn't on the menu anymore.
