They don’t answer the phone. They pick up and put you on hold. I tried calling this store for two days and still havent gotten anyone. This happened yesterday 1/31/24 and today 2/1/24 at 3:51 pm. So whoever on the phones don’t want to be there and is hurting your business. I had a simple question yet no one picked up! This is ridiculous. I’ve called several times and it rings for about 6-7 minutes then you get out on hold for another 10. They pick up and put you back on hold then hang up! This is the 2nd time this has happened and the other time I got two ppl who didn’t know anything. What if I was calling for an emergency for another employee or someone from corporate? This is beyond unprofessional and they keep doing it.

I'm updating this review to reflect that the help I did eventually get was good, and I received an apology acknowledging that I was unreasonably instructed to wait several times when there was no one coming to meet me. Below is that experience.Total time from asking for help until getting help: one hour two minutes...I've been to the store four or five dozen times; this is the most convenient box store for me to visit. I'm leaving a review today because I walked in and three different employees said hello to me, which was quite nice. But I'm here to get some items. And while I'm here, I need to get some boards ripped. I go up to the pro desk and ask for help. The guy looks me right in the face and says he'll call back the guy. He didn't do anything, not at his head and fell asleep. I asked if there was a cart that I could get for wood. He said I had to go outside and get one. So walked into the middle of the parking lot and got one and wheeled back in, and ask the guy what was the name of the guy I should be looking for. He told me and I came to the back. No one here. I proceed to go up to the front two more times and ask different people to send back the person to the wood cutting station. No one comes. Call the front of the store. Tell the person that I've been here for a while and that I've gone up to the front three times without any help. He's quite a bit more helpful, but ends up hanging up on me. I hear a call go out over the intercom for somebody to come back and help it would. Here I am another 15 minutes later still without anybody helping. And so goes my four to five dozen trips here. That was the only exception I found is during the Christmas season, there's always someone helpful out on the side to cut the base off a Christmas tree.

Ronneisha at the Washington DC Lowe's was super helpful. Greeted me when I walked in and asked if I needed help, which I did! The pavement salt I was looking for was hard to find and she pointed it out. Also helped me check out faster. She also asked me if I found what I needed when I passed by. Usually Lowe's associates are not to be found or not very helpful but Ronneisha was a breath of fresh air!

Looking for a new fridge and Kas was so helpful and went out of his way to explain the different brands, pros and cons, and what to look out for. Even took the time to give us extra advice on how to move the fridge easily for cleaning. Thank you for all your help!

Probably the rudest and worst customer service. This is why I always go to Home Depot and not Lowe’s.

I needed some items to complete some minimal home improvement tasks and this was nearby me at that moment. I figured I could run in here and grab what I needed and be out fairly quickly. I was not. I ended up having to search for items in here, because where items should logically be, they weren't. I only needed those few items and it took me far longer to find them. Each time I looked for an employee to help me, it turned into a deserted area. I walked about in here, ending up having to go up and down many aisles before finding the items I needed. This was particularly frustrating. The only good thing to come out of this was being able to get through the register area fairly fast. When the cashier asked me if I found everything I needed, I just kind of stared at her and grunted out yeah. I figured it would not have matter if I said no, because there is nothing they could do at that point.

Lowe's is the only retailer that offers a particular Pella brand storm door. their process for pre-ordering estimation, and ordering took two months. They use third-party installers. In my case they used a company called all weather. The whole process was one of lack of communication, poor communication, and no attention to detail. I started this process with Lowe's in Gaithersburg, when the folks in doors and millwork were never available to communicate, I ended up working with the Northeast Washington DC store My experience with both locations was barely one star. Think long and hard before getting involved with Lowe's
