If I could rate higher it would be a 4.3
As a GenXer, I grew up where local was everything!!! People desired to support neighborhood businesses. Metro Pharmacy reminds me of that place. I have great healthcare and could go to any pharmacy but I chode metro because I can walk out my door, down the street and I am right there! I love the old fashion bell ring takes me back to a special place in my life. Yes, it's medicine LOL and yes going to Metro is a signal I am not feeling well or I need to be recalibrated but its intimate, friendly and has everything I need. I realize they may have other stores but they are still a small business compared to these medicinal engines. Metro Pharmacy is more like an apothecary! If you can walk to Metro, transfer your prescriptions. GO LOCAL folks.

Very valuable service provided with great professionalism and compassion. Had a parent who was experiencing some medical issues but would not go to the doctor. So finding Metro Direct Care Medical and Dr Kinney was a Godsend. He was able to come out and perform an in person exam of my father who didn't even have to leave his favorite chair. The doctors direct and friendly manner was such that my father cooperated fully and did not protest. The exam itself was much more thorough and long lasting than I thought it would be and the doctor stayed around and chatted for awhile about what his diagnosis was. There was no sense at all of rushing in and out to get to the next patient. He even suggested a house call phlebotomist who we used later so Dad could get blood work done also. Even more impressive to me he called a couple weeks later to check up on how Dad was doing. Highly recommended.

Our 96-year old granpa came with a health issue and he's just too old to sit for hours at an ER. Dr. Kinney is a caring, experienced and responsive physician who took care of the problem immediately. He is compassionate and takes true interest, providing very helpful advice from the first call. I am a physician myself but don't have enough clinical experience, and that's what Dr. Kinney has in spades. Highly recommended!

I am from the Bay Area and last week attended our daughter's graduation from American University and was in DC to help her get set up in her first apartment. Unfortunately I developed an ear infection and bronchitis and fortunately I found Dr. Kinney and Metro Direct Care Medical. I was feeling too sick to try to sit in an ER and the house call from him saved the day and the entire trip. He took a careful medical history, and spent the time to listen as well as inform us of the diagnosis and the options. He prescribed the ear drops and medication that ensured I felt better within a few hours so that I was able to be present for our daughter and heal. He also helped us come up with the right decision not to fly until a few days later than planned to help heal the ear and bronchitis. I wish there was a doctor like him in the Bay Area!

Dr. Kinney is great. I live in Arlington and it was my first time calling a house call doctor. We had a back injury and wasn't able to get out of bed, so it was either get a doctor to come to the house or call an ambulance. Dr. Kinney was very helpful and thoroughly explained our various options, solving our dilemma. He was very communicative, talking through the limits of what we'd be able to address and what would need further care. He also followed up later that evening just to make sure everything was alright.

If I could award MORE than 5 stars I would. My 95 year old father was visiting me from NYC and woke up feeling so unwell he couldn't get out of bed. He has a pretty significant and somewhat predictable medical history, but his episodes always mean a trip to a doctor- or sometimes an emergency room, if we can't get an appointment. Untreated he has developed bloodstream infections that always mean long hospital stays and can be fatal. With my father's own doctor 5 hours away and no easy way to transport my dad to an urgent care or emergency room, I called Dr. Kinney. He listened carefully, asked questions and arranged to have a phlebotomist come to the house to collect blood and urine specimens. Chris, the phlebotomist, was drawing blood less than two hours later. He too was efficient, professional and kind. By 6:00pm Chris texted to say that the blood test results had been sent to us and not ten minutes later, Dr. Kinney called to interpret and explain them. What a team! Treatment was started and my father was truly able to sit at the table with us a few hours later. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Kinney for his kindness, his willingness to help, his expertise and his ability to organize all of the testing without having to get my dad up and out of bed. Furthermore his prompt follow up was most impressive, and he assured us that if we need a visit tomorrow, we just need call. This is medical care the way we can usually only dream about. Compassionate, informed, practical, humane and effective. My unreserved recommendation of Metro Direct Medical Care, Dr Kinney and his team.
