Middle East Books and More is a bookstore located in Washington, DC, right next to the Museum of the Palestinian People. It offers a large and amazing collection of Middle Eastern books of varying genres, including political science and cookbooks. The store also carries a wide array of merchandise, including Palestinian-made plates, traditional Palestinian ceramics, pottery, textiles, scarves, kuffiyehs, olive oil, coffee, pins, shirts, flags, stickers, paintings, and framed art. It is known as a very busy and sometimes crowded bookstore. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and very nice. The store also operates an online store with shopping and shipping. While some items may be expensive, it is noted that a lot of the sales go back to the region. It is a beautiful and cool place that visitors highly recommend and plan to revisit with friends and family.
Excellent selection in the used books section, especially for books in Arabic from Lebanese authors. I was able to find Mai Ziyadeh books in very good conditions for 5$ and under
