Jas is absolutely one of a kind. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my wedding dress experience so far. She has made me feel so comfortable and confident every time I come in for my dress fitting. I have no doubt that my wedding dress will be everything I have dreamed of because of Jas. Highly recommend!!!

My experience with Jas and Modern Trousseau was beyond amazing. I had multiple intensive and time consuming alterations to a dress and Jas and her team made my ideas come to fruition. She was a pleasure to work with and showed genuine care and compassion working with me.

Jas truly saved my wedding day. I cannot speak highly enough of her talent, dedication, and kindness. Just two weeks before my wedding, another tailor in the Georgetown area failed to make the alterations to the bodice I had requested, and I was devastated. My mom called around frantically, and when she spoke to Jas, she immediately offered reassurance: she would do whatever it took to make me feel beautiful and bring my vision to life.
From the moment I met her, I felt completely taken care of. Jas worked quickly and skillfully, providing extra appointments, one-on-one attention, and regular updates by text and phone. She listened, understood, and executed exactly what I had dreamed of. I ended up loving my dress—and feeling like the best version of myself—thanks entirely to her.

Dropped by without an appointment to buy a belt for my dress the day before my civil ceremony and the owner could not have been more lovely or helpful. Can’t recommend this place more highly.

Jas was amazing in helping me find what I need. She was able to answer all my questions and even help me find the perfect wedding dress for me. 1000% talk to her if you have any questions. She was phenomenally astounding ❤️ love her enthusiastic !

I unfortunately am writing this review, after initially having a great experience when I went to try on (as others in the review have noted as well). They charged me for my final fitting, and for a “custom dress”, but when I took the dress out of the bag ON MY WEDDING DAY, it was covered in needles. They never finished the alterations. The dress was therefore too long at my wedding. The owner and staff never answered my email to this day. I exchanged text messages with a head employee, who was never truly apologetic, and all that I asked for was a refund for the alterations that they never completed. She refused and has stopped answering entirely. Sad that my relationship with the store is ending this way, when it started so well. Be warned

I had the best time working with Modern Trousseau DC. I purchased a beautiful off the rack dress for an excellent price. Their dresses are extremely well made. Their off the rack items are in great conditions. They feel very luxurious and soft.
My favorite part was working with the owner to create a beautiful bolero piece to add to the final look. We worked on the design together and she was so knowledgeable and professional and gave the best recommendations. She helped me make my vision come true! I loved every detail of my wedding dress and working with Modern Trousseau DC was the best part of it. I recommend them 100%.

I had THE MOST amazing experience! I had a custom design, and Callie was really helpful and communicative during that whole process. Once the dress came in, Jas did some incredible work with the alterations and was able to rush them so I could have the dress in time to travel out west for the wedding! Could not recommend them more :)

Had an amazing experience trying on a broad collection of beautiful wedding dresses here. The people who work here — especially Reagan — were so kind, patient and supportive, and really made the experience magical. Amazing shop, would recommend for any bride to be.

My wedding was this weekend and Callie made sure I was wearing the perfect little white dress. I initially walked into her store without an appointment and she couldn't have been more lovely. I immediately found the perfect dress but wanted to add a few details - she sketched out the attachable train right in front of me. My final dress was even better than I had expected. Highly recommend Callie and her beautiful dresses for your special day!!!

It was my first time trying on wedding dresses and Callie at Modern Trousseau was friendly and welcoming to both myself and my friend. She asked thoughtful questions to better understand my sense of dress style, and was very helpful in picking out dresses she thought I would like.
Shopping can be nerve-wracking in general for me, but I was also not feeling great about trying on dresses that might not fit, but Callie was extremely calming and reassuring that each dress could be altered to fit and that this was merely my first time trying on dresses. There was no pressure to pick one nor was there pressure on a follow-up.
The dresses are beautiful and the calming space, plus the kindness of the staff made the experience better than I had expected!

What a special gem this place is. The owner pulled out some really good quality dresses for me to try on and helped answer all my questions. She made me feel very comfortable and there was no pressure on anything. I would highly recommend this spot to any new bride-to-be!

I had a *wonderful* experience with Calla at Modern Trousseau yesterday! My three favorite things:
--I felt totally comfortable asking all my rookie questions (do you try on with or without shoes? How does the bra situation work in an open back dress? What are the names for all these styles?) Every time, I got a kind and thoughtful answer.
--The selection is fantastic, and covers a really wide range of styles. I went in with no idea what I was looking for, and was able to figure out what styles were working (and not working) for me.
--The whole team's experience really shows through, helping select specific gowns and styles, recommending veil lengths, and other details. The bonus was that Calla was actually familiar with my out-of-state venue, and had a few recommendations on that basis too :). Total pro!
I ended up buying "the one" at a different store later that afternoon, but will recommend Modern Trousseau to anyone looking!

Modern Trousseau has the friendliest and most welcoming staff! Although I did not ultimately purchase my dress here, I was absolutely blown away by Calla's helpfulness and sincere kindness while I tried on gowns. This shop is an absolute gem, and I love that they offer so many options for customization.
