Not sure which to point out first: the service; the pharmacy; service at the pharmacy... All sufficiently terrible to justify a poor review.

Rudest pharmacist I have ever encountered. Does not acknowledge customers who are waiting with over 30 minute delay in vaccine appointment. Do not recommend using this pharmacy.

It's 7:00 AM, I'm dressing for a business meeting, and I forgot socks. This CVS was two blocks away from my hotel and took a chance they'd have a pair. Yes! With helpful service, a good woman said to got to aisle 9. They had black dress socks! T-shirts and underwear too. Always good to know!

I've never written a review but I'll leave one for this god forsaken awful pharmacy. To start, the hours online are not accurate. The phone number is also not accurate.. if you dial this one then you will have to go through an automated system that will take forever, give you the number, and hang up. If you then dial that number, you'll be on hold for an eternity. One time I was on hold for over an hour and a half and I walked into the pharmacy and just watched these people turn the phone volume down and ignore my calls. On top of that, for some reason, they cannot fill my script for DAYS. On average, it takes about 6 days for them to fill my prescription. There have been times where I've gotten them to speed it up, but only if I go in and demand it (because you can't call). The level of incompetence with these people in unbelievable... literally (not just as a figure of speech) 3/4ths of the time they get my dosage wrong. When this happens you end up sitting in there for a half hour waiting for them to fix it. Today, they messed up twice and I had to leave because they couldn't fix it. And you know what the worst part is? The people are so unbelievably rude. It's your classic DC "I'm angry at everyone" BS. Today the pharmacist said as mad because he felt I didn't properly confirm my dosage after I messed up. Dude.. down the street if you go to McDonald's and order a #1..:you don't have to tell the cook how to make the sandwich.... Just look at what my doctor wrote up! Honestly, not taking the medication I need to function may be a better alternative than seeing these incompetent people every month

Very unhelpful. I have even called before going there and they said yes but when I reached the statement has changed. Poor customer service as well

Just a shout-out to the super nice employees at this particular CVS. There are always a couple of theme who greet you as you come into the store and will cheerfully direct you or help with the automatic check-out, which we all know is prone to SNAFUS. I cannot recommend the pharmacy section, the lines are often long and I have waited weeks to get prescriptions there that other pharmacies obtained almost immediately. But the rest of the store stocks lots off other items I use regularly and I'm super grateful to have it nearby.

Good selection. Closes earlier and smaller than the one on the Circle. Good selections. Supportive staff. Has both fast checkout and counter. On the corner and easy to get to. Check it out.

I have never left a Yelp review before, but I feel the need to warn people to not come here if you need to fill a prescription. My daughter's doctor prescribed her medication that she needed to start urgently. I go to pick it up, and after waiting for almost an hour, they tell me that it's out of stock but that they ordered it and it will be here tomorrow. I relied on that (why wouldn't I), and go the next day to pick it up. I wait for 45 minutes and they finally tell me that they actually don't have it. This is Friday afternoon ahead of a holiday weekend when most pharmacies will be closed. They had no explanation as to why they told me they'd have it, but now they don't. My daughter would have been left without her medication for days because of CVS's incompetence. This is unacceptable and seriously affects people's health. We had to get in touch with our doctor ASAP and transfer the prescription to a competent pharmacy. Never again.

Pharmacy is so so slow. Always have to wait an hour+ for your prescriptions even though it says they are ready online. I waited an hour just to be told they couldn't find my medicine and I'd have to wait until they get more in stock. When one of my prescriptions was finally filled (for a brand new medication to me) the pharmacist did not go over the medicine + side effects with me - instead I was rushed out. Also "the 10 minutes" advertised for a flu shot will take an hour. Go to the one at 6 Dupont Circle. So much quicker!

By far the worst in the city. It is always understaffed and when you finally get helped, it is by someone with an attitude. Also, be warned "an hour" to fill a prescription usually takes at least five hours, if not a day. It's unfortunate.

I never thought I'd review a CVS, but this place is so terrible that I feel like it is my civic duty. Having to get your prescriptions from this place is like being in the 6th ring of hell. Why is it that I have to wait 45 minutes to an hour every time I need my prescription even though I get a text alert saying it is ready? The pharmacy staff are widely incompetent. Save yourself the frustration and get your prescriptions from the CVS pharmacy at 6 DuPont. For the same prescriptions, it takes them 2 minutes to have them ready and check me out. It is worth the extra walk.

Love the pharmacy staff here. So nice. Sometimes slow at the cash register but overall very efficient. I get a call when my prescription is ready and it's there. Also, I needed a vaccination and the pharmacist took care of it with little-to-no pain. That's a different skill set that I didn't realize pharmacists had!

Do not use this pharmacy. I can't even count the number of times I've had issues here. Tonight was the last straw - I was told on a Friday that a prescription would be ready Monday (really? three days later?), go to pick it up Tuesday and not ready. Was told then it'd be ready Wednesday. Went Thursday and not ready. Changing to another pharmacy so that on the third trip, I can actually get the script I need.

Pharmacy staff always keeps you waiting, seems to always forget people in line. They're also just not nice. It's a shame people who need medication have to deal with professionals like this

4 stars for the Employee/Security Guard for her dedicated assistance while I was enduring Self Check Out mishaps. She had nothing but patience & a helpful demeanor as she swiped her card a few times to override the errors of the machine...not the human. By time I finally finished checking out, I was still owed a $5 Extra Care Reward. As I started to speak to the machine on why my Reward didn't print out, the employee at the register asked me to come to the counter & she printed it out for me. I wasn't rowdy of any sort, so I appreciate the proactivity on her part. One of the smaller CVS that is organized, full of sales with a friendly crew of employees.
