Warning: this office is incapable of maintaining office records or appointments. Do not trust them with patient information. Dr Brandon Lin is responsible, licensed optometrist. I will be filing complaint with DC board but use caution if considering using. Reckless behavior for a licensed professional.

Let me add to the chorus. I signed up for an appointment, checked in online, received multiple texts up to the day before simply stating, "we look forward to welcoming you at your eye exam" with nothing about a confirmation only to arrive and...find out they had given away my appointment. This is unacceptable on every level. I checked in through their portal, entered all of my information. They never informed me they had given away the appointment. To the contrary, they continued sending me texts about how they looked forward to welcoming me. But this is how they work. They're trying to see as many patients as quickly as possible to maximize their profit. If you took time out of your day to get there for an appointment they gave away, too bad, reschedule, better luck next time. Why anyone would trust the care of their eyesight to a group of people solely focused on churn and making as much money as quickly as possible with a complete disregard for their patients or their time is beyond me. No one, ever, should give these people their business.

Writing this review before even coming for my eye exam because customer service has been that bad.Made two appointments at this location several weeks ago for my husband and I. Four days before our appointments, I received a call from the office that my appointment needed to be rescheduled. When I called, Teyanna (not sure about the spelling), informed me that they booked multiple people in my appointment slot and asked if I could switch from an afternoon appointment to 8:40 in the morning. I said no as I had booked my husband and I two appointments around the same time so we could be there to pick out lenses together. She then rudely hung up on me.The next day I received an email from My Eye Dr that my appointment had been rescheduled to another time at a different location. Confused, I called back and believe was connected to Teyanna again. She told me that they did not reschedule me and I now had an appointment at both places. When I asked to speak with a manager, she just repeated herself. And when I asked again - clarifying that I just wanted to speak with someone who had more knowledge on it then her - she abruptly put me on hold. The manager was nice enough but the experience has been soiled by one person.

Kellie was spectacular! She helped me find the right frames and took the time to ensure I was able to get them quickly. Thanks for your excellent service :)

We have been using this location for years. Other than Dr Foley, the rest of the staff turns over constantly and service is increasingly variable. The frame selection is no longer very good since My Eye Doctor has taken over. The final straw was when we walked in for an appointment 50 minutes before close to a packed waiting area. They were running behind so we were looking forward to patiently waiting our turn. We were told that we had missed the grace period by two minutes and needed to reschedule. We will definitely do that- time to try a new provider. Two stars because I'll miss Dr. Foley.

** To be clear, the saga continues. Their customer service team will also attempt to wear you out by refusing to solve any problems. I think my favorite line they used is they asked if I planned to cry on the phone when they refused to connect me to a supervisor. Zero crying is needed. I've gone ahead and submitted a complaint thru the DC Attorney General's office office of consumer protection and the Better Business Bureau. This location will do their best to convince you to agree to proceedures and lens upgrades that are not covered by insurance. FIrst, they offer a retinal scan and threaten you that if you do not accept it, they MIGHT need to dilate your eyes. They do not tell you that you will need to pay out of pocket for that test. Then, if you manage to avoid that drama and figure out you can refuse the extra service, they will sell you glasses and lenses and add on expensive options that are not covered by insurance and then they will try to tell you that those items are standard, and therefore, appropriate and necessary, they clearly are not. Why they think I MUST pay for glasses with a upgraded lens with a safety rating and UV protection when they are reading glasses for an indoor desk job is beyond my understanding. When you question them, they do their best to tell you that all concerns are your fault for not requesting they do not add them on (when I very much specifically DID question them), and then they hang up the phone. Other people noted the scams about which doctors actually work there, I experenced the same thing, booked an appointment with Dr. Martin, arrived to discover she was not there and my appointment was with someone else. Long story short, they clearly have a goal of profits for their location and zero interest in listening to patient needs.**Update** while they replied to this post as if they intended to speak with me to learn more and make improvements, they never actually responded to my follow up. So, yet again, it is clear that they have zero interest in correcting misleading practices.

Do not waste your time by visiting this business. Visited December 30 for an eye exam. The doctor told me I needed new lenses. I came out of the exam room and sat down and they took my insurance info and told me the lenses will be ready by the end of January. I call to follow up at the end of January and they told me there is no order for lenses. My eyes will be hurting for another month until I get the new lenses and obviously I don't want to wait another month to find out that they threw my order away after they took it, so I am going somewhere else.

Mike Bushee, the general manager at this location, is one of the most competent and professional people I've ever met. I came in with a lot of frustrations about a frame fitting gone wrong, and he put me at ease almost immediately and provided me with the guidance I needed to be re-fitted into something much more appropriate for my face structure and level of nearsightedness. The location itself is well situated, near public transit, and it was clean and well stocked. Thank you Mike!

Do not select this EyeDr location. I ordered a pair of lenses (not even the frames) in early November during a routine visit. After multiple phone calls, and two pop in visits…Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYE… I finally received a call that the lenses were ready for pick up in January. I went months without glasses to accommodate this wait, which is a big inconvenience for someone with really bad vision. Note that I still continue to get voicemails and texts that glasses are ready after I picked them up.When discussing the challenge with the manager, she offered me a very small discount on my next pair of lenses. When I checked the records of my account, the discount hadn’t even been noted.I’d give the place 1 star but the doctor and assistant who completed my exam were quite good. I think the backend administration is a cluster and glasses are last on the list of Dr visits anyone needs to be complicated.

*Don't believe all the good reviews for this place, they are reviews for when it was Eye Central, not MyEyeDr.*I have been a customer and patient for over three years of Eye Central and Dr. Martin. They were both great, and Dr. Martin had been keeping an eye (no pun intended) on a mildly complicated issue I had in my left retina. She had taken specific extra scans and sent me to a retina specialist for a workup and had been dealing with my issue for years. I felt comfortable knowing she knew how to handle it during my annual eye exams. I had ordered contacts and they were reasonably priced. And then MyEyeDr. bought them out.. their website still lists Dr. Martin but says to call to schedule. I call, and the receptionist is new and doesn't even think Dr. Martin is employed by them. He said she's not on the schedule for the next three months, and he's never heard of her. He recommends I make an appointment with a new doctor. I said okay fine, but they'll have my record of all of my past appointments, Dr. Martin's notes, and the additional scans I had done, right? He has to put me on hold and ask someone else, and comes back and explains that all of my records are now gone. Just vanished. How can that possibly be? I'm livid. I guess I shouldn't have expected much from some large conglomerate that only cares about the bottom line and not their patients, but that large of an EMR issue almost seems grounds for medical malpractice. In short, avoid them at all costs.

Referred by a friend, I went for eye exam and they treated me like a family member especially Ranceenia, who assured me that she would take care of me and find me the right pair of glasses at the right price . She did exactly what she said!!!!Cudoos to Ranceenia!!!
