Not open to the public which is unfair to the public. There isn't a Navy Federal Bank available in DC. Must go travel to VA or MD just for a bank.

So impossible you so impossible to deal with these people none of them can speak properly and they're just don't know what they're doing one person says one thing another does the other thing you get a supervisor on the phone you get the same scripted b******* every time I don't recommend this company God forgive me for the things I'm saying right now but I'm speaking the truth and I want people out here in the community to know that they don't know what they're doing and there's just too many security questions and all they're doing is keeping your money making a profit on it and giving you a hard way to go I tell them basically go to hell where they came from

Ok bank, unless you have stellar teir 1 credit ratings you will not be considered for a loan. Doesn't matter how much money you make or your longevity of faithful membership it does not matter. Doesnt matter how many succesful loans youve paid in full or completed in terms in a satisfactory manor. If you don't have the score they want you're out of luck. Better off with another credit union. Sincerely don't waste your time. Semper fi.

This is on a military installation so access is restricted by those that have gate access to a base. The staff was friendly and polite, plus has a notary public on staff.

If they can, they will find any loophole to block you from anything you want to do with your money, business or trust. Stay away from them.

Trying to get a line of credit with a home equity loan for some home renovations. They said it would take 30-45 days. It has now been 60 days, and they told us over a month ago it was pre-approved. We have excellent credit, don't have much owed on the house. I have no idea what they are doing at this point and they are not responsive to inquiries. They are the slowest ever for financing. We started the process with them several years ago too when we were buying the house for a mortgage. Luckily, at that time we went with someone else who matched their rate as we were also warned then that they are "slow".

I have tried two VA loans through nfcu. Both have been to no avail simply for failure in their end to respond, even the suoervisors. It has been 90 days with no closing date set and beware of the VA appraisers they use . I have submitted documentation from correct the appraiser errors in building size, lot size and also sent other new homes for comps instead of over 5 years old. Still no response after 3 weeks in this.

I’ve always had great service here. Building is literally all the way in the back of the base by the water. Hours are incorrect they close at 4 not 6. You dope also have military ID or a CAC. Without those getting on would be a pretty difficult mission.

I have been a member since 1970. I highly recommend them for your financial needs. They are not your neighborhood bank, but are accessible at ATM machines across the country. They have branch offices in most ports theUS Navy frequents in the US and overseas.

Getting here is a complete nightmare and this branch is the closest from downtown DC — what a joke!!! The entire District of Columbia where so many military people live and work, has ONE NFCU branch and it's on a navy base, with only one access point (impossible to get in even with govt issued ID!!)...seriously at the end of the world and nowhere to be found! A nightmare is an understatement! Good bye NFCU for good!
