Decent store with polite associates. However, they never ever have the items on hand that the website says. We pre-order our stuff for pick up. Virtually every time they are out of one or more items that the website stated they had multiple of. Tired of wasting our time. I love the Stella and chewy brand, but we are going to switch them to something carried by another store just to stop having to deal with this nonsense from Petco.

Showed up at the store and there were signs all over the door saying they were open, the lights were on and I came at 5pm on Tuesday so within their store hours, however the door was locked and nobody would answer me so I had to leave. I walked 30 minutes for this.

This is not a pet store anymore its unsafe i witnessed the employees arguing that is totally unprofessional and uncomfortable for us customers i intended to go in to buy some pet supplies but once i witness the employee saying ‘step outside” i immediately turned around this is a pet store not a fight club how is this place supposed run for the safety of customers and employees when one employee is ready to fight all the time when they get into a dispute. They need to handle it in private not in-front of customers this not the first time i witness this lady (dreads light skin or brown skinned with tattoos) being rude and disrespectful to the employees and customers and doesn’t know a thing about pets why is she working there? someone needs to investigated this petco and employee and/or manager Or they to close down. I will let every one that i know in the area to not go to this petco and just go to another pet store. There is only 2 employees in that store that knows what they’re doing and have knowledge of pets and is very respectful the brown skinned girl with short dreads and glasses and bald head with glasses if it wasn’t for them i would be totally clueless with my pets thanks to them my pet and I are doing excellent.

An employee at the H St Petco (DC) recently talked to me about signing up for vital care premium for my dogs. I asked if I could cancel at any time and they told me yes, so I decided to try it out. A few months later I decided to cancel premium online and couldn't. Apparently they make you call to cancel (very frustrating). Then after calling, I was told I had been signed up for a year long subscription and would have to keep paying, despite the fact that I had been misled by the store employee. Don't let the same thing happen to you, and shame on Petco.

Pretty good for a pet store. Having a pet wash station was great (not sure if it is still open). The only concern is that selection of dog food changes quite often so it is harder to have a consistent flavor/type.
