I have been a loyal customer of PNC Bank at 1405 P St NW in Washington, DC, for over 20 years, and it's with a heavy heart that I write this review. In the past, this branch was like a second family to me, with a dedicated and caring team. Unfortunately, recent changes have left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. One of the aspects that used to set this branch apart was the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the team. They made you feel like a valued customer, and it was a pleasure to visit. Regrettably, the recent turnover in staff has resulted in a complete shift in attitude. The new personnel at this branch seem disinterested, unprofessional, and indifferent to customer concerns. What used to be a welcoming and personal experience has turned into a cold and impersonal one.My most recent visit to this branch was particularly exasperating. I had to stand in line for an hour just to cash a check, which is a far cry from the efficient service I used to receive. Even though the branch doesn't have its own parking, I would gladly endure the inconvenience because of the strong bond I had with the previous team. Now, even that motivation is gone. It's disheartening to see the decline in service quality and professionalism at a bank that I have trusted for so long. As a result of my recent experiences, I have made the difficult decision to close both my personal and business accounts with PNC Bank. The level of service I encountered during my recent visits is simply unacceptable, and I can no longer justify remaining a customer.I sincerely hope that PNC Bank takes note of these concerns and makes the necessary improvements to bring back the warm, customer-centric environment that once defined this branch. Until then, I'll be seeking banking services elsewhere, and I encourage others to consider their options carefully before entrusting their financial needs to this particular branch of PNC Bank.KAVOOS RADCEOCAPITAL CARPET LLC

I went there to replace my debit card on 09/10/21, at 9 15 a.m., after loosing my wallet. I had photos of all of the current documents as well as an expired ID and Passport. I wanted to get an instantcard but the two "ladies" at this branch said they could not help and there was no supervisor when I asked for one. I called your help number, was hung up on after 12 minutes of holding and never actually getting to speak to an actual person. The second call, and another 12 minute hold, got more, "We can't help you." She even put me on hold to come back with more of the same. I was MASSIVELY irritated at this point. Yet even through the irritation, it dawned on me to go see the person that opened the account for me. He was EXTREMELY helpful and even asked why they did not ask how I opened the account and then call him. I replied that they did not seem to want to help anyone. That is some sad customer "service". I almost closed my account. You were saved by the person that opened it. That is a whole OTHER review.

There are two reviews on this site that are flat out lies. One says that this is not a bank but an ATM.the other says it is a bank but no ATM. There is the 24 hour ATM on the 14 th street side of the building. The service is great! Although one employee there at the desk can be rude. Beyza the manager is outstanding. This is another example of how social media is abused

Namsa at the PNC on 14 & P is an angel. Give that girl a raise! I’ve never had a problem with customer service at this location, despite other reviews. They’ve always gone above and beyond and I enjoy banking here.

I've been a customer at this branch of PNC since 2012. I have my own account here and a joint account with my husband. My husband signed a check we were both issued over to me and I deposited in my account via ATM. PNC then returned the check, at first stating that it had to go into a joint account because they did not have my husband's signature on file (this was the 14th Street manager/employee). When I stated they did have his signature on file--because he was an account holder--she then told me that I could only deposit the check in my account if he entered the bank with me (during a pandemic) to verify his signature--again, which they had on file--and that in order to do so, I would have to wait 2 weeks for the check to come back to me in the mail. Except the check didn't come back. A photocopy of the check that says it is valid as a check at PNC came back. So the bank took my money--leaving me without a receipt of it for several days--and then only provided me with a document that they'll accept. When the check-only-valid-at-PNC-but-not-in-only-my-account came back, it came back with a note stating it had to be deposited in the payee's account. I called PNC and noted that I was a payee on the check and that the other payee had endorsed the check over to me. The woman told me that, no, only the OTHER payee--[my husband]--could deposit it. I asked her if it the bank realized it was 2020 and not 1920? Women are allowed to deposit checks, last I checked. PNC has also told me that "legally" they cannot allow me to deposit the check into my account because I am not the only payee (yet the other payee could deposit the check into his account). I've called three other banks and they have all told me that is patently false. So...yeah. Not impressed. If you can tolerate the relentless calls from PNC trying to sell you additional banking services, being nickle-and-dimed for things like a single check...get ready, because if you are a woman...you are going to need a man to get PNC to acknowledge you exist and let you deposit money into your account.

This was such a great bank since they first opened. The personal service was always amazingly personal and helpful. Then PNC became no different than any other big bank. Personal service is GONE. Customer service representatives are either rude, blankly say they can't do anything and then repeat it several times, blame the problem on the client, and often don't speak English well enough to either understand you or help. PNC is a MESS. Don't use it!

Terrible service. I have been a customer for over 10 years and a new teller would not issue me a cashier's check even with valid ID.

PNC... I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, your financial managers and attorneys for systematically ripping off my grandfather's estate over a period of 35 years. Myself and others I have met have had the experience of a lifetime with your draconian and mean spirited greed when estate funds are entrusted to you. I will see you next year on this and other sites; as a warning to others.

This is a pretty good branch. I've been a customer for over a decade with this being my primary location, and I always find it pretty reliable and convenient.
