Politics and Prose at The Wharf is a small but welcoming independent bookstore located by the waterfront in D.C. It offers a diverse selection of books, with a focus on community and the exchange of ideas through programs and events. The store has friendly and helpful staff who provide good recommendations and create a warm atmosphere. Although the space is still new and some shelves are not fully stocked, visitors can find a variety of books, including sci-fi and more. The store hosts public events, but the chairs are uncomfortable. Despite this, it remains a favorite local spot for book lovers, valued for its community feel and dedication to fostering a love of reading. The new location promises continued growth and a great experience for all visitors.
Excellent all around intellectual and regular book store! Ann in SW

This is a wonderful independent bookstore with plenty of choices across multiple genres (not just political science). I hope to be back on my next trip to DC.

Went to a book event here last night. Appreciate that the attendance was free. Their event space fits about 70 seating spaces plus standing room. I thought it would be much more packed, but was pleasantly surprised by the intimate atmosphere. Had an awesome time and will have to keep an eye out for their other events.
