Well I never thought I would be writing this but R Street apartments is on the come up. As a resident for over 5 years there has finally been some good progress in make R Street apartments into what feels like a home. Thank you to our new community manager, Danielle Carter, there has been great improves to the complex. Now are the buildings still showing some of the 100+ year old character, (it feels old) yes but overall the way this place is run is much better than managements past. Danielle and team have solved some account problems that had been lingering for 2+ years and was even able to retrieve a stolen package. They have continued to enforce common sense rules that make the complex more enjoyable for all residents. Lastly the maintenance team has been a huge upgrade from years past. The guys are very respectful of your home and are working around the clock to have issues resolved - including great communication that keeps you in the loop as larger projects are being done. I experienced this directly with my heat in my apartment.

I have lived in this complex for 11 years, and I’ll tell you, this property hasn’t had a better office staff than that of Danielle and Yanira!!
They are a dream team!!!
They are friend, kind, helpful, and get things done! Maintenance issue? They get it taken care of!
Danielle and Yanira go the extra mile to make living here so much better! They bend over backwards to ensure the tenants are not just taken care of, but CARED ABOUT! They truly do.
I am so happy that they are here!! I hope they don’t leave!

Danielle has been an amazing property manager! She is professional, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile for tenants. Any maintenance requests or concerns are handled quickly and efficiently, and she keeps the property well-maintained. Her communication is excellent, making everything smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciate her dedication and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great property manager!

A hidden gem in plain sight. The ladies managing the property have been so helpful and consistently gone above and beyond to help us cut through the bureaucratic red tape that DC living automatically involves. Prices are great, apartments are well-kept and it's great to know they are on your side.

Just toured with Judith. What a mess! They listed it as a one bedroom when it's clearly a studio -doing everything they can to milk money out of the lease. Also clearly wasn't expecting us for the tour when we walked in. Before even a 'hello' we were asked how much we make annually. Ran into two dead rats in the building while touring. The tour guide went wild when saw this bee? Maybe I'm being petty about the bee thing but it was just very unprofessional behavior from start to finish -On top of already being mislead into going on this tour for the wrong type of apartment.

I’m concern because 1432 R st Washington DC apartments has been negligence with addressing the rodent (rat) issue. Last week I had to jump over trash in order to visit my friend and this is shameful. I saw literally 15 rats running around eating trash, climbing the rails and they appeared to be jumping. I will take a photo next time I’m there. The rats are out in the middle of the day. I recommend if you are considering R st apartments you go elsewhere. I call on DC rodent control program @Gerard Brown to go inspect asap. People literally have rats urinating and leaving droplets everywhere.

I tour a one bedroom apartment last week with Judi and had the most wonderful experience with her. She attentive, kind and super comfortable to talk to. If the one bedroom was in my budget this year I would have definitely applied. She showed me not only the apartment but different parts of the community and building. Wonderful wonderful experience. I will be stop by next year !
